Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: A few years Location/Timezone: Central Standard Time Availability: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday after 8:30pm to midnight; Tuesday and (every other) Saturday after 5pm to midnight; Friday after 9:30pm to late Preferred role: Player Game style: I like the roleplaying, the story building, the immersion, the adventuring, and the rule of cool~ I'm also cool with combat elements.
I am a bisexual, 27 year old player with he/him pronouns looking for other players (or a group) and a DM that is up to playing a game with one of the premade campaigns from Wizards of the Coast~
I really want to play the Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frost Maiden or Tyranny of Dragons. I would also like to play Curse of Strahd, though for full disclosure, I have played it before. For some reason, I'd just be cool with playing it again.
I'm open to other campaigns as well, such as Descent into Avernus, Tomb of Annihilation, and others with the exception of Out of the Abyss, as I'm currently in that one with another group.
I have a few potential characters to play and I can make more if they don't fit.
Krusk | Half-Orc | Male | Druid -> Circle of Spores | Neutral Good
Krusk is a sweet and shy young druid that was born in the Vast Swamp, abandoned by his orc mother for his perceived physical weakness, as he was tainted with human blood. Fortunately, his infant screams caught the attention of a Spore Druid that took pity on him and brought him to an abandoned mausoleum . Her fellow Spore Druids were in the process of investigating the mausoleum and building small huts around it so they could make a home there. Over the years, they were successful and Krusk was raised to hear their ways and apply their lessons in druidic life and magic. He loves his family of druids and appreciate that they all came from different walks of life. In fact, he's the most comfortable and confident around them. But as more druids have begun to congregate to the Circle of Spores, the druids have been suggesting that some of their fledgling members should venture out into the world to learn more on their own and spread what they have learned to the outside world...and some of the elders have suggested Krusk should be among the members that leave, as he has been raised in their way of life and is an excellent candidate.
Turac Bitterwind | Human | Male | Sorcerer -> Draconic (White Dragon) | Chaotic Neutral
Turac Bitterwind is a con artist and thief, raised in a family of criminals and thugs. He is the only person in the family to possess magic on an innate level, and according to family legend, an ancient ancestor of theirs was a dragon slayer that killed a White Dragon that cursed his lineage to have his family name fall from hero to criminal. This is a legend that is fully embraced by Turac. He finds a sense of pride in knowing that powerful forces happened to clash and grant his power. He serves his family as the face, lying and charming his and their way out of bigger trouble as they steal and extort others in whatever city or town they're in. When he's not actively working, he is enjoying a hedonistic lifestyle, indulging in all manner of debauchery. Unfortunately, one day his family tipped their hands too far in the city of Luskan, crossing one of the High Captains and causing them to scatter. Blindly, Turac flees from Luskan and has had to keep his indulgences to a minimum to keep from being noticed while also trying to see if he could cross paths with his family members. As he ventures on, he hears rumors and stories, including something familiar that makes him question his family legend.
Barathon Liadon | High Elf | Male | Wizard -> Order of the Scribes | Neutral Evil
Barathon was once a promising young student at Eltorchul Academy. He was ambitious to expand his and others' knowledge of the Arcane Arts. He was always studying tomes and experimenting in the academy's labs. One evening, he received a parcel containing an object obscured in char and dirt. He cleaned it off and found a crimson crystal underneath it, the likes of which he had never seen before. Eager to examine it, used his jeweler's lens to gaze into its inner details. Unfortunately, rather than seeing what he expected, he saw something indescribable. Something so beautiful and horrifying that it defied words and even the century-old analytical mind of an elf. His sanity shattered, rendering him confused and desperate to see more. He tossed aside the lens and simply brought it to his left eye. But it wasn't enough for him. He could see, but something in his broken mind told him there was a way to see more. He grabbed a nearby scalpel and began to stab and slash at his left eye, hollowing out the socket. Once it was done, with a trembling hand, he shoved the crystal into the empty socket. The moment his blood touched the surface, magic surged into his body, burning his soul into nothing. Now, in place of a mortal soul, there is an energy that has taken the elf's body as host, and that energy has a much different and twisted viewpoint. It remembers his memories, the life Barathon had before his essence was obliterated. It weaponizes these memories and traits against those that knew him the most, delighting in the suffering he inflicts, be it physical, mental, or emotional. This new entity seeks more power, as whatever it once was has been severely diminished by being bound to the flesh and blood of Barathon, exploring its host's goals and ambitions to accrue enough power to surpass the Gods and reshape reality itself.
