Homebrew Setting: A golden age of war and conquest where players travel from nation to nation to support or destroy kingdoms or governments.
Now, what sets this world apart from other fantasies is a floating leviathan in the sky that wraps around the world five times, a moon that has countless blinking eyes at night, and a sun which behind dense clouds looks like an amalgamation of tentacles from a Kraken. Where Dragonborn live on islands formed from hot dragon eggs into the sea to Orcs and Dwarves living in symbiotic harmony in a demon-made endless pit, and elves living in a forest that has unnatural biomes like deserts and tundras nearby one another within its dense wood.
Details: I want to gather up a few people to start a podcast as a hobby. We'll be using roll20 for battles and imagery, discord for group updates, and voice chat which is required, and each person must have a microphone of decent quality and earbud/headphones.
Timezone and Meetup Times: I want to meet up either Saturdays or Sundays, either 8:30 am to 2:30 pm or 4 pm to 10 pmCentral Time. Weekly or Bi-weekly, between 4 to 6 hours, both depending on group majority to what works best.
Simple Expectations: Don't hog the limelight from other players. Try not to speak over each other. Don't mind cursing, just don't say anything overtly offensive.
About Me: I've been DM'ing for about a year now and hosted about 20+ games while acting as a referee, better known as rule lawyer, for my friends when they started to DM. I'm a bit of a stickler for the rules but always stick with the rule of cool if creative enough and have a decent chunk of house rules to follow. I love homebrewing and balancing difficult encounters, as well as world-building, a hobby that I've kept up with since I was a kid.
Before You Join The Game: I want to get to know you and see how well the chemistry between players is, I won't be interviewing per se, but I want to have a casual chat. When I give the green light, you can build a character and I can give you an idea of what kind of culture, region, etc. Differs from traditional D&D settings.
Hello! Reaching out about your posting. Your world sounds very interesting, and I wanted to see if you were still looking for players. I'm fairly experienced with other tabletop RPGs, but I'll admit I've only been playing DnD for about a year as both a player and a DM for a few groups (still learning stuff as a DM since that was only recently). I'm cool with all the details (I have discord and a good headset/mic). Let me know if you have any questions!
Ok I know this is going to sound crazy but I would like to get back into playing. Now for the crazy part, I havent played for 40 years. Yes I am 50 but dont mind playing with younger people as long as they are over 18. I am very very new to the new way to play and would require some hand holding but people my age are use to having someone help them across the street. Just wondering if you would be willing to take on a project.
Hey I am not too experienced I have played a few campaigns and dm'd once. I would like to play more but can't mainly due to lack of opportunities. I really enjoy it and have made many characters I am looking for an immersive and fun campaign. From your description I can tell that I like the way you think so I would like to join. I like to make fun and interesting characters and would like to join this world.
Hello I'm interested in your homebrew campaign. I'm really curious as to how you work the nation government into gameplay. I'm fairly new player but quick learner and get into my role. Got a great mic and the works to play whenever.
