Do you want to move to a campaign so far away, you could brag about it?
Would you rather tear out your brain stem, walk out into the nearest three-way...four-way intersection and skip rope with it than continue adventuring where you are now?
OK, maybe not, but if I even remotely had your interest, perhaps now I can have your attention.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Discord, Text-Only) Experience: Any (a basic understanding of the rules and mechanics is preferred) Location/Timezone: EST or flexibility in schedule preferred Schedule: Saturdays every fortnight at 6:00 - 8:00 PM start time running till Midnight latest Roles sought: 3-4 players (must be 18+, preferred mid-to-late 20s, early 30s but age is not a deal-breaker) Game style: Homebrew high-fantasy with elements of light survival, mild amounts of horror, and a reasonable balance between RP and combat
Summary: So, here's' where we stand. Alesia is a homebrew world that I've been crafting for years and really seriously started vetting in 2019 when I got back into D&D. I've had success running this world setting in the past, but I'm always looking for new outlets and parties to experiment with. In terms of "light survival," you do need food and water each day to survive, shelter for long rests, and your ammo will be counted and tracked; no infinite quivers for y'all. On the ammo front as well, keep in mind that the containers you use to store your ammo will also be limited to what would be practical for your character.
House rules can be discussed later, but suffice it to say I'm a pretty loose DM when it comes to most things. I mostly want to have a good time with everyone, and for everyone to work together and have fun during the session. That being said, do not take advantage of the DM's kindness to see how far you can push the boundary of good taste. Murderhobos, people who rob their cohorts, and other toxic behaviors that impede the entertainment of the other players will be fed to a tarrasque and promptly removed from the server. You can consider this the only warning I will give on the matter. I think we've all played enough games to know what I'm talking about, and if you're new, don't worry, I doubt we'll have much issues.
Final thing: The game will take place in a text-only format. I've historically gotten much better RP out of players who type rather than talk, it's easier to track events and reference back in the story, and honestly some days I work late and just am not gonna be in the mood to do voices and talk much. Being able to put up my feet and vibe with you guys through text after a long day at the clinic is much more relaxing than setting up my mic and half reading, half improving.
If you're interested, leave me a message below with a brief description of the character you want to play (keep it OFC, I can share access to the source books later).
This is definitely sounds interesting, and the format looks right for me. I'm mid-30s beginner at 5E, played Ad&D long time ago, and have been playing Blades in the Dark over the past few months. I'm happy to discuss scheduling, some Saturday nights might be difficult here and there but I'm happy to be flexible and adapt. I'm interested in a Half-Orc or Dragonborn Oath of Vengance Paladin, or a Fire Genasi war magic wizard, but also flexible based on party needs. discord ex_trav_aganza#2935

Hi there! Is this the final straw?
