thank you all so much for showing interest! i've got a lot of forms to sift through and decide who's best for the campaign and what i want to do, so please be patient as i did that, and if i don't contact you, it's nothing personal it's just a pretty small party!
hey all! i'm kipp, i'm a queer college student and highkey nerd. i've played dnd before, both as a player and dm, but a lot of things have kind of fallen apart over quarantine so i'm looking to dm a new campaign! i'm not super experienced, but i'm not a complete newbie either, so that's at least a bit of a warning. i'd really prefer playing with other lgbt+ people, although i expect you to at least be accepting/friendly (and, of course, not racist or sexist), and i'd prefer players 18+.
i am looking for a party of 6; i have some friends playing with me, but i'll likely need at minimum 2 or 3 other players! we will be playing primarily through discord with the avrae bot; if we're having trouble with combat, I may bring in roll20, but i'd prefer to stick with discord. i am in EST for time zone, and leaning towards mondays or fridays for games, but i am waiting to discuss availability with everyone. I do expect to be playing weekly, and I don't want to guarantee anyone can play if I don't think you'll fit well with our group, but I'm a-ok with working with beginners!
the campaign itself is, again, based in a homebrew world. i'm pretty open to all official materials, and i'm willing to at least look at homebrew, but it is worth mentioning that this setting does not have clerics or paladins; there is no active religious forces that your characters would likely be familiar with. the campaign takes place in a continent called endam, a relatively isolated peninsula border the ocean and the abyss.
Ages past, the gods settled down from a long, bloody war. A precious few remember the brutalities of this war; fewer, the enemy. The gods, exhausted, went to sleep. Their followers and disciples were confused, at first, and then despaired, for little of their divine magic remained. Soon, it was forgotten altogether. Years passed, then decades, then centuries, and soon nothing but relics and stories remained of the gods that once ruled over the land. In recent years, however, divine magic has begun to reappear, and dark things have begun to reawaken.
lastly, it's just easier for me to organize myself if i do applications in a google form, so it's all in one place, so please fill it out and submit it! i'll follow up with you on discord, and if everything works out i'll invite you to the server! if you have any questions, i'm happy to answer them here or in dms :)
