Hey there, Cas here. I've been dying to hop back into DnD but I haven't really been able to join any games, so I figured I'd post here! I'll get all the technical stuff out of the way and then there'll be a little blurb about me at the bottom as well as some characters of mine, if you want to get a vibe check on the kind of player/person I am. If you don't want to read through all the info the TLDR is in [these] so check those out for a speed read to see if I'll fit.
Disclaimer: I cannot be in any games that include sexual assault. I do not tolerate players or DM's that joke about sexual assault or who are ableist, racist, sexist, or homophobic. I do not want to play with those kinds of people or ones who joke or try to insult by saying "you're autistic" or "that's so gay." If you say or do these, please do not reach out to me to be a player.
Game: [D&D 5e] Group Preferred: [Online] - Voice over text and preferably no camera, but willing to make an exception if needed Experience:[A few years] By a few years, I mean a few on-and-off experiences. I've been a part of a lot of games but by the fifth session (at most) all of them have fallen apart due to the DM, other players being kicked or issues at the table with the DM (such as racist or sexist comments). I'm really familiar with the rules though and I know my way around the classes, modifiers, character sheets, and spells (although, I still have trouble with them at times). Location/Timezone: [CST] Availability: [Any Day][After 6 PM][Flexible] - My schedule is pretty open, but I can't make AM games. As a general rule of thumb, I try to have my games be after dinner (around 6ish) so I can spend time with my family but I'm flexible with starting times. I will give a heads-up by saying I have chronic pain and mental illnesses that sometimes may cause me to miss a game, but I only miss it if I absolutely need to which happens very rarely. Preferred Role/Classes:[Player] [Flexible 4 All Classes] [Pref: Bard, Rogue, Fighter, Druid] - Since I haven't been in any long-standing games I haven't had the chance to really get a feel for the classes yet, but these are the archetypes I vibe with the most and the ones I lean towards. I'm willing to roll fill if need be too as I want the composition of the party to work as well. Game style:[Free][Campaign] [Flexible With Any World] [Preference: Fantasy (Wildemount)][Casual - RP heavy] - To be honest, one-shots aren't really my cup of tea since I get really invested in the story and characters and I feel as though that's not enough time to truly enjoy either. I'm A-Okay if a one-shot leads into a campaign, but I'm definitely looking for something that's gonna be going for at least a little while- long term and steady, ya know? I'm down for all types of settings and worlds, so that won't be an issue. That being said, I'm really craving some high fantasy/adventure as of late... or pirates... or both. As a player, I'd say I'm pretty balanced when it comes to wanting combat and roleplay since I think both are key elements to this kind of game. But to me, it really boils down to storytelling. I'm not a big fan of hack-n-slash type games that aren't character-driven or roleplay-heavy. I'm cool with it being plot-driven as long as the players and the characters actually have motivation and investment in what that plot is and their backstories get touched on or incorporated into the overall plot. I know, sounds like common sense with collaborative storytelling but you'd be surprised. Also, I am a broke-ass college student and sadly, I can't afford to pay a DM to be a part of a group, so I'm looking for games that are free.

About Me (feel free to skip this if you want)
Name, Pronouns, Age: Cas - (they/them) - 21 About Me: I'm a Virgo, I like long walks on the beach- I kid, I kid. But seriously, I'm finishing up my Associate's Degree in the Arts, and then, by the beginning of next year, I'll be transferring to pursue a double major in acting and psychology and a minor in film. I have a passion for voice acting which ends up showing in a lot if not all of my characters. Other passions include art, singing, writing, photography - basically, anything creative based. Personality: I'm pretty laid back and I've been told I've got a good sense of humor. If these give a hint at all to what I'm like - I'm an INFJ and my Hogwarts house is Hufflepuff. Play Style: I haven't really played a lot of games consistently enough to get a good solid idea of my playstyle, but I think I may have an idea. I'm very detective-based, logic-minded but almost all motivation or acts that I do in play are character-driven. Depending on the character, I could go from "cool uncle" to "self-sacrificial idiot" to "do it for the meme." Because of my logic side, I'm a pretty big note-taker, and it helps keep me focused on the game. Character Summaries:
First Character - Taxillanious FancyFoot III, but friends and associates just call him "Taxi." I created him back in 2017 and have made changes throughout the years, but he is a Tabaxi Bard from the College of Satire whose background and reputation come from smuggling. He's fairly well-known in the underbelly of most places as being someone who just appeared out of nowhere one day but who can get you anything, as long as it fits within his code. He's most identifiable by his main weapon of choice - his frying pans, Trick and Treat which he dual-wields, and his hat that he had custom made (a newsboy cap). Who he was before his smuggling days, no one is really quite sure but it is curious that a Tabaxi is going by Taxi instead of their name given to them by their tribe. Does he even have one?
Most Recent/Favorite - Ashe - I created her for a Wildemount campaign not too long ago and she quickly became a favorite of mine. She's a human artificer/fighter multi-class whose main agenda in life is to 'live fast and die young': the literal definition of a garbage can on fire if you will. Although, for being an artificer, she seems as though she's brand new to magic and for some reason can't get her familiar to poof away correctly. She's most identifiable by the fact that no matter the weather, she's always wearing long sleeves, gloves, 'mechanic like' pants, and roughed-up boots with the eery sound of muffled, clunking metal that can be heard with every step but could be mistaken as coming from the metal defender that walks by her side, Igni. There's also the fun fact that she's like 5 foot nothing but will drink anyone who challenges her into oblivion.
