I'm a veteran DM looking for players with at least a little knowledge of the game to join a new homebrew campaign. The group currently has 4 confirmed players but I'm willing to accept up to two more people interested in playing. We play Tuesday nights starting at 6:30 EST and going till 9 or 10. We're a fairly relaxed group with relatively open rules on homebrew.
Here is the Lore Intro: A good morning to you prospects of St. Roth’s Conservatory of Exploration. I see faces from the many corners of the world in the crowd today. You are peoples of every possible background, each a diplomat of a unique way of thinking. Ours is a world of turmoil, divorced yet intertwined with the world below. For generations, civilization has retreated to the firmament and the divinely made pillars on which we dwell. These cities hiding amidst the clouds have kept us safe, but our safety makes us soft. I have seen the horrors of the surface, a place which no longer wants us, but so too have I seen its peoples in both their kindness and wrath. The need to reconnect with the world is not some flagrant desire to mocked or belittled, but an absolute necessity. That’s why you are here. This place of learning intends to give you the skills you’ll need to survive in this world. A warning for all you who are committed to studying here. When today ends, your life will be contracted to St. Roths. You will not be allowed to leave until your studies are completed. You will learn to hate this place and me, but in turn you gain so much more. So I welcome you future saviors of the world, for this is the beginning of a new world.
Here is the game intro:
This is a world of light and darkness. Rising from the earth up to thousands of feet above the world are the pillars huge towers of stone on which most civilizations dwell. Sky ships dominate transportation and warfare here and several nations of united pillars live in a consent flux of position and power. What separates the pillars from the world beneath is the Maelstrom, a world encompassing storm of swirling clouds, rife with deadly energies. Beneath that is the surface world, the long forgotten cradle of civilization, and where only the deadliest or hardiest of life can survive.
As for you fine folk you were all selected to attend St. Roth's Conservatory of Exploration to learn the skills of you need to survive this world, unless you came there for other reasons
The first part of the Campaign will take place during your school days at the Conservatory so i will need a few things from you.
1. A backstory compatible with the information thus far (just message me and i'll help you)
2. A Major you wish to focus on at school, (ex. Economics, medicine, Halberd play, cooking, acting, theoretical fire craft, cartography, and on and on...) the options are unlimited but the choice you make will help to determine a few bonuses you might earn
3. Your goals
If you're interested in this please send me a message or reply.
