Game: D&D 5e - CoS (from lvl 1)
Group type: Online (Discord/Foundry VTT/no webcams)
Experience: New / a few years / veteran
Location/Timezone: US
Schedule: Weekly M (or Tu) 6-10:30PM CT (STARTING TODAY 4/19/21...so hit me up if you want to get started quickly)
(Monday but flex to Tuesday based on holidays/player availability to stay weekly - this group has not missed in a year because of this)
Needed: 1 Player

• Some experience preferred...even if it is 1 RPG Horror story of xp. knowledge of what you are doing in D&D and basic rules knowledge is required (no one is an expert)
• Mature sense of who you are with conflict resolution skills and ability to compromise/accept ruling/sum things up quickly.
• Tempered expectations.  Experienced I am, MM I am not.
• I don't DM warlocks well.  Keep it simple on concept.
• There is currently a bard, fighter & hunter in the party - not concerned about balance, however.

Game style/notes:
Style (consider this pretty much a session .5, because there won't be a real session 0....it's straight into the deep end) :

• It's CoS.  The situations and party will dictate the pace. The campaign will likely roll for 1 year and end up around lvl 13-15...depending on where the story goes. 
• The group loves it's RP. I don't do voices well or at all, but sure. 
• My strengths are exercising judgment, weaving the story, getting the tech right and balancing encounters. If you can't trust the DM, don't message me, this game ain't for you.
• I will deviate from rules sometimes.  It may seem arbitrary at points, but I do have reasons and generally make it clear that I'm aware and have a specific reason for doing so.
• I may float and experiment with house rules if the group is good with the idea.  Some fall flat, others we adopt, 99% though it's RAW/RAI...less arguments then :)  
• I curse. Simple as that. For this reason alone it is 18+ only.  Adult topics will come up but all sex I fade to black. I'm not here to narrate your sex life or live your vicarious dreams.
• ... And yes, sometimes the jokes will go there [the topic, not your life] ... If you can do this with respect realize that you can be respectful and tolerant but foul...then good. 
• I like epic, memorable encounters that are fun.  It's horror, but we're all there to have a good time and tell a story together.  I take pride in my craft as DM.  Simple as that.

What I'm looking for:

• A message/reply if you are interested  
• Very brief but descriptive summary of experience and what you like in a group and game.  Be honest here because it wastes everyone's time to put up a front.
• A character concept (yes, include that background twist), if it's light on specifics....great.  I only ask my players for a few sentences of background anyway.  We can talk about it if it gets to that point.
• A serious commitment to earnest play without taking yourself or the game to serious.

Hey! I’m new to D&DB but I have plenty of experience in 5e. I player the game steadily for about two years before my group broke up after some started to graduate uni, and have been playing on and off since corona started over R20. For me the thing I look for most is quality in time spent, while combat is a rewarding challenge I hate to be constantly beholden to it, I enjoy growth of both characters themselves and their opinions on others.

I’d be interested in playing an older human cleric, of a deity I would likely figure out with you. I haven’t chosen an name but he would be a tride and true stoic, but a man of the people. Everyone he can help he will, while sticking to his own philosophical  and religious beliefs.
