Are Good/Fun D&D campaigns the Exception to the Rule? - Single Choice
I'm pretty new to d&d as a player, but I've known about the game and watched others play it for years. About two weeks ago I finally picked up a starter set, an essentials kit, and a few books here on beyond. However... my attempts to find Campaigns have been absolute failures so far.
First I tried the official D&D discord server, and that just led me to a game where after a single persuasion check, the dm decided that no, the campaign was ending immediately and he basically told all of us who were playing to go away.
After that, I tried finding a game here on the Beyond Forums. I had actually been looking forward to my first session of a weekly campaign starting this evening, but in the middle of the night last night I was kicked/banned from the discord server for the campaign, apparently replaced with someone else, and then ghosted by the DM when I tried to figure out what was going on.
I know good d&d games exist out there somewhere, but at this point, I'm starting to think they are the exception and not the rule. Still, I figured I would give the forums another chance before I just gave up on the idea of finding a good d&d game.
If anyone is starting up a new campaign that will have weekly sessions (preferably someone who lives in North America so time zones don't get tricky), I would love the opportunity to join and participate.
Yo dude or dudette, what are your hours of availability and timezone? If they line up with our weekly session, we could figure something out.
Most weekdays after 7pm and most weekends sometime after 4pm
timezone is CST/CDT
