Experience: New - roughly 80 hours played across 3 campaigns on roll20
Location/Timezone: UK - GMT+1 / BST (British Summer Time)
Availability: ideally either Tuesday or Wednesday, start around 5:30pm, 3 or 4 hours duration but finish no later than 9:00pm, days somewhat flexible, time not
Preferred role: Player, looking for 3 more players and a DM
Game style: Would like to play one of the official adventures, ideally Curse of Strahd, Dungeon of the Mad Mage or Out of the Abyss, willing to provide the pdf if needed, 4 people party, preferred age: mid-late twenties upwards, strictly 18+ please

Hi, I am looking for players and a DM to play one of the campaigns listed above, I would prefer to put together a fresh group rather than join an already existing one, 4 players max and a DM as I get uncomfortable in large groups. I would like to play mid-week as I’m already playing in a couple of campaign on the weekend, my ideal day would be either Tuesday or Wednesday, I would alternatively be able to play on Monday or Thursday but these are less convenient. Due to work the latest I can play is until 9:00pm, this is non negotiable unfortunately. I am a friendly, easygoing player in my late twenties, I am very reliable (haven’t missed a session in any of the campaigns I’m playing so far, if I do have to miss one I give as much notice as I can), show up on time, don’t hog the spotlight and try to make sure everyone else has fun as well, a bit on the shy side. I am looking to play with people around my own age and older. I like to get focused on the game during session so would prefer people with similar attitude who don’t get distracted or bring irrelevant topics to the game.

Why are you not allowed there (just out of curiosity), did you get banned or something? We’re likely be playing through discord so it might be hard but I’ll let you know if the group decides to play on some other platform.

I've actually been eying up running Out of the Abyss at some point. I've DM'd a few times; currently running Descent into Avernus for my son, and I had started Mines of Phandelvar for a group of 5 people, in person, but couldn't continue because of Covid. I'm also developing two homebrew settings, one solo and the other with a friend. But if I were to run Out of the Abyss, it would, of course, be set in Faerún.

I've been playing D&D for 2 years now, where possible, so I'm no veteren. I still have a lot to learn. I'd need to pick up the book first and give it a read. What knowledge I have of the Underdark comes from my budding fascination with the Drizzt novels (read the first 2, 100+ pages from finishing the third), as well as what I've learned from various youtube channels. My working hours aren't quite the same each week, but I should be - for the most part - available for the times you have described.
