About me: My name is Sam or Gecko, and I've been into dnd for a few years now with experience in both playing and dm'ing. I am a big fan, and therefore user, of homebrew content in my stories. I actually make a lot for my own campaigns, and it is one of the few things you'll see me get passionate over with ease. I also go by they/them pronouns. Finally I'll add I do work a side job on top of my college, so while I may be busy sometimes if you ever send me anything on discord, I'll get back to you as soon  as I'm home.

About the campaign-

Plot: Damnum is a world once filled to the brim with magical creatures and civilizations. It was a utopia of magic, and those who lived in this time even said the gods walked the earth. This however all came to one swift end after the god of power and scourge, Azest, poisoned the wellsprings from which magic poured into the world. Slowly the world faded into an wilderness. Once floating cities, now sat as piles of rubble and ruin buried in the forest. Even races seen as magical in origin begun to die out. It's said that forty years after the initial incident only 3% of the magical population was left alive. Fast forward to the current day, and the magic of the world has only just begun to resurface. In a land now almost entirely dominated by humans, monsters begun to emerge. The unprepared for the sudden change have already lost whole villages to these beasts, and people from across the nations are being recruited to take them down. While most humans had no memory of a time there was magic, all have been thrust into this new reality. It's for this reason most nations have recruited the use of hunters, groups of mercenaries offering to hunt these beasts.

Times: While an exact time isn't set we'd like to play Saturday nights, and since I'm in an American time zone, it'll roughly be starting 6:00-7:00 CST, but the starting time is flexible atm. 

My dm'ing style: As stated I do enjoy some homebrew content so there will be a heavy mix of that involved. On top of that I tend to plan for a lot of blank time for roleplaying amongst characters, and with NPCs. I do try to get combat in, but we can go a session or two without a combat encounter, unless the parties pulled into a dungeon run of course. It's also worth noting while I do like to keep a serious game when we're playing, I love just being stupid, and joking out of character for ten minutes or so, before getting back to the game every once and awhile. Gotta have your breaks to just enjoy yourself and all.

What I'm looking for in players: Currently I already have 2 friends of mine interested in the campaign who I know will stick with it. It's for this reason I'm only really looking for 1 or 2 more people, depending on the situation. Honestly as long as you have some idea of how to play, and you're okay with homebrew, and rule of cool, you'll probably fit in fine.

Howdy, my name's Sam, He/Him! Around a year ago I ran a few sessions of the Starter Set for a group of friends. Other than that, it's all just listening to podcasts and making characters and homebrew items and worldbuilding. I'm 17, about to graduate High School. I like sticking by rules, but not necessarily as written! As long as every one is aware of what rules are and aren't bein used, it's all about having fun babey! Also I love visualizing magic as a natural phenomena in games. When I'm worldbuilding I try to base mechanics of the world on natural laws, like how mythology serves to explain the way the universe works. My favorite class is either Cleric or Warlock. Cleric because I like the idea of being unwaveringly devoted to something and not have to overthink it, and Warlock because of all the unique options. Learning little hidden secrets of magic is super cool.

Edit: also now that i think of it, I really love that Wizards don't have to prepare ritual spells

Hi my name is Kodiak, and my pronouns are he/him. As for my experience with dnd, I've been playing for a year now but I've been interested in dnd longer than that. I guess a little fact about me is that when it comes to things I'm interested in I tend to study hard, for example my first character was a paladin who grew up in a tavern so he knew how to cook, so I started watching videos and reading books about cooking, spices, and cooking in specific time periods. Now my favorite dnd class is a little hard because I've only played paladin and cleric so far but from my experience in other games I would say my favorite would be rouge.
