I am a player looking to join a DND campaign and to make new friends! It's important that I be a good fit for the campaign and the players. Here is some info about me and what I'm looking for. Drop me a line if you think I would be a good addition to your campaign!
Time & Place I'm looking for a long-term game group that meets at least weekly. I am available weekday evenings after 6PM central US until around midnight. I currently have obligations Saturday evenings. On Sunday, I am available most any time.
Group Composition I am currently 43 years old. I don't want to be the only old fart at the table! I prefer at least some of the participants be similar to me in age and most be 30+. I would also prefer the group to have some female players. No, it's not like that. I just find that the game usually fits my style better when the party is diverse.
Gameplay I prefer the role-play aspect of games. I enjoy conflict and combat when it furthers the story and helps characters grow. I like exploring new places, discovering new creatures and collecting new lore. My ideal game would probably be 65% role-play. I tend not to min/max when I build a character. I'm more focused on a theme and a creative character concept; not the best combat build possible. Even in combat I might make sub-optimal decisions if it fits my character.
Role-Play I tend to play outsiders. Monstrous races appeal to me. I like to watch how they grow over the course of the campaign and how they interact with the party and people around them. I have a good sense of humor and that usually comes through in my characters. I use voices and I like it when others do too! IC text based interactions with the party during downtime are a plus.
