5e Weekend One Shot/ Short Campaign - All player levels are welcome (18+)

Game: D&D 5e, A heavily homebrewed Candlekeep Mystery
Group type: Online- Mostly relying on Discord/theatre of mind and owlbear for battle maps (may switch to foundry if I have time to build this out prior to our start)
Experience: I've been playing on and off for about 10 years
Location/Timezone: EST
Schedule: The schedule is currently flexible and will be set based upon player availability on Saturdays/Sundays.

Briefly about the setting: A party of adventurers are recruited out of Waterdeep by one of its more notable wizards. They are to make their way to Candlekeep in search of a book said to be written by someone who traveled with the Vistani and may have learned the secrets to traversing the mists that separate the shadow planes. The party to is to acquire the secrets of the book and bring them back to the City of Splendors.

We'll meet for a session 0 prior to starting and I'll flesh out the above in greater detail.

Hey there!  I have 3 players for you to fill your short campaign!

Experience:  We each have several years of experience with 5e.  Working adult players who are laid back and flexible.
Location/Timezone: Two of us are CST with a UK friend in CST+6.
Roles: We’re all open to accommodating the group and can play whatever is needed.  With that said, we tend to favor CHA- and DEX-based classes.  I do like to get my barbarian on from time to time as well though lol.
Game style: We enjoy immersing ourselves in a DM’s world/story and really sinking our teeth into the characters we’ve created.  We like to pull RP out of the group and really approach choices from a character-centered perspective.  We’ll insert RP into combat even lol to break up the monotony of dice rolls and number crunching.  Our only ask is that combat be balanced (e.g., buffing the players with gear and feats out the wazoo while fun to be powerful also generally breaks a game), and poor decisions have consequences with huge deus ex machina interventions from a dm to save a player (e.g., combat hobos and people who grab the overtly booby-trapped object the DM has cautioned against earn their right to a swift character death and reroll lol *shrug*).

Two friends looking for more dnd. Been part of a weekly group since august (mines and now cos) and played a tad bout 15 yrs ago, but in need of more adventure. Were in european time so daytime games in your time would suit us best, but we live quite flexible lives. Playing a bard and monk atm, but up to fill any role of the party and always exited to try new stuff. Letus know if were needed!
