I'm looking for 5-6 people interested in a Wednesdays evening game at 7.30 pm est. Will be in a homebrew world played just using discord voice (camera set up for more complex combat) theater of the mind game. Starting at level 3 using official material minus artificer as it doesn't make sense in the universe.
Set in a desert town in the southwest of the continent where a redwood tree has spring forth from the dust it seems. The gaurd are frightened and concerned as to the nature of why and how it got there. Are you up for the possible rabbit hole of where this could lead?
About me as a dm-
I try to have a good amount of role play and exploration involved in the game. I work backstory and revelations in the game to make it more fun and interesting for everyone involved.
When combat does happen it will be on the hard to deadly side. Am I looking for a tpk? No but it's going to be a workout to get the win rather than using just a spell slot or two and being done.
It's not a first come first serve game. Tell me about you as a player, dnd experience, what you're looking for in a game, and what kind of a character you're thinking about
Hello, I'm willing to partake on this adventure, I am somewhat adept in the D&Dverse, have played 2/3 tabletop games with friends, a whole bunch of DDO, never a home brew. Would love to explore that. I already have a character sheet and am somewhat invested in the persona, since i always play a ranger. The character is mostly extracted from my personality but some fantasy details vary.
I recently got reinvested in D&D, it would be fun to play however i am not too sure how active i can be... usually shouldn't be a problem.
Hi, name's Dane. I have a little experience in game, but I am quite familiar with 5e. I enjoy a decent scrap, especially if it is accompanied by a sort of battle map. Doesnt have to be anything fancy, hell even an xcell spreadsheet would work. Visualization helps.
Mostly i'm looking for a casual game with roleplay encouraged(though i aint much a method actor myself) and a pleasant exploration sprinkled with death traps, flowers, and gold.
I've got a decent amount of characters on standby, with a lizardfolk druid (circle of the desert coincidentally enough) being something id like to play. Though i'm willing to use others if there are any restrictions or team needs. If you prefer standard array, rolled, or point buy i can edit my character to fit.
The only issue is i am a part time worker and, especially weekdays like Wednesday, may be difficult for me. I'm also on the pacific time zone.
Just saw that the link isn't working _ True neutral Human Ranger 2/Sorcerer 1.
Also if the party is in need of another player i don't mind playing a Cleric, or any supporting character as per the DM's demands, I can do my best to adapt from a lawful good Paladin to chaotic evil rogue...
Hello, I interested in joining your group. I have been playing DnD and other TTRPGs off and on for over 20 years. My last serious group was over 4 years ago so I might be a little rusty, but I'm sure I can get back into the swing of things quickly.
I'm looking to have a fun game with fun people who don't take things too seriously. People who like to have fun and laugh, and go for the spirit of the rules not the rules as written.
My only deal breakers are out of character discussions about religion, race, politics, etc. Anything is fine in game as long as it's not graphic pron.
The characters I am thinking was either a Half-elf Bard of the Lore College or Wood Elf Monk (Kensei, Open Hand or Mercy). But I could also do some kind of Fighter if we need a tank. Depends on the rest of the group.
Hi, my name is Iryna and I would be happy to join the adventure. I'm somewhat new to D&D (~10 sessions into campaign with another group) and I'm not sure how good I would be in roleplaying (our group doesn't do it much), but I'm willing to give it a try :)
I would love to play a Pallid Elf Soulknife Rogue if the group composition allows it. I really enjoy thinking through my character's backstory and would happily adjust it to the lore of the campaign. My Discord is Nightla#7061
Experienced DM and player for over 30 years (started with THAC0 and the Red Box). I prefer to play Bards & Rogues but I am open to anything to round out the group (I have played just about all classes except the Warlock). My availability is generally after 7PM Eastern Time (US) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I love the aspect of roleplay of characters and I try to create a rich background and motivation for them. I am also into the use of skills over fighting and "thinking outside the box" yet within rules. Ideally I prefer a mature audience.
I would like to try out one of two characters:
Blind Human Fighter/Monk - Blind since birth and was an orphan. He is to the age that he can no longer stay in the temple he grew up in. He cannot commit to the cloth in the temple because of his blindness. He has since been on this path of self discovery and learning and yearning for a cause (or people) to be a part of and protect.
Variant Human Rogue/Bard - Think of a personality mix of Porthos and Artimus. He may be a little rowdy, but he has serious wit and mind. He believes "He who controls the information wins". He likes to have a person in every town or place he meets. If the party looks to be putting down roots somewhere, he will probably look into starting a business front for the purpose of "legitimacy of the party" and as a means to gain insight and favor in the town. He doesn't want to be a leader as that is WAY too big of a target. He would rather be the one closely behind them supporting or backstabbing them as appropriate.
