If your happy to meet the string of demanding requirements/hoops listed below - you can win my and then the groups heart and join a fabulous group of film directors, a model, officer in the navy, me the scumbag and cast of others
I need someone: cultured, intelligent, a friendly person, a nut bag but you know a nice nut bag not a shouty nut bag
Its UK time 9am on a Saturday, you need to be 30+ (we already have young good looking members and they are off doing exams so we are full up on students) ….. (it’s about life experience but also so I can discriminate further to make me feel big powerful rather than impotent and weak)
If you can name a decent artist and read some classics your basically in.
Everyone is European/African based (Time Zone), and basically it doesn't work if your based in the US etc
I’m a snob/pseudo-intellectual trying to attract other pseudo-intellectuals who gets bored easily with morons (but i'm like you great in bed and an amazing DM(or player) and totally humble so its all fine)
Experience not a massive problem (I haven’t read the rules either) but being a moron (in a purely subjective and non-discriminatory way) is a big one, so if you don't like something interesting to me: art, literature, history etc you’re not in (your hook is thrown in a totally non-discriminatory and open way out, but thrown in a way in which your feelings are all important and have been respected)
By the way I make stuff up like group initiative, so combat doesn’t take too long so you have to be ok with that kind of thing.
Have had a long break from gaming, but recently took up the hobby again, and looking for a group to join.
Pseudo-intellectual (I have my fancy uni degree - but never actually read any books by Bourdieu (had to resort to articles ABOUT his writings, so yeahhh... Pseudo-intellectual at heart).
I´m deff. NOT a student - but I teach them for a living - so plz have pity on me. Degrees in History (cause that was interesting when I was young) and in Economics, (bc I realized I needed to have something, that would pay my bills). So, if you are looking for boring topics to talk about - I´m your go-to guy
Read any classics.... sure. Consumed all the Donal Duck comics, at a young age (I know... pure prodigy). That good enough? Also read Ovid metamorphoses (can´t get much more classical than that). Unlike many other books - this is one that I have only read the one time.... ´nough said.
Since im crap in the sack as well as Dnd - the group would suite me just fine, seeing as I might pick up a tip or two - to the benefit of my wifey :) Im thinking I might fit right in with your CO, since im used to being told what to do anyways (wifey). Also, being around students for my entire proff. life, have taught me the values of bearing with this particular demographic segment (that, and the wonders of alcohol - I drink, therefor I am)
Im too lazy to put in more of an effort writing about myself (old age - you learn to prioritize your time - clearly. Thats why I´m on a dnd page, when I could be out and in the real world, doing intellectual stuff n´ whatnaught).
If you really want, I guess you can try to hmu on discord (mainly bc im still trying to figure out how it works...)
GT: D3viousDane#6680. (Im pretty Danish - but less devious tbh)
This is hilarious and makes me wish I didn't live in New York so that I could join. But, alas, I do, so I can't.
New York sounds super cool oozing Noir Sophistication, every day stumbling down crowded city street before sliding into a dive bar meeting up with Lou Reed wannabe's.
Tell us more about the city that never sleeps when i think of New York which i have never been too, I think one full of entertaining characters - Janice & Joey(friends)/New Jersey Accents or Queens/Impractical Jokers.

Basically your an alpha male with a love of Beowulf and other Viking Poetry - I need to understand more about that Dragon -
I can relate to Vikings like a True Viking I cried after fighting - every time I beat the crap out of other children (I was the victim here) I cried - carried on into Opera

Oh wow!!
You really ARE pseudo-intellectual, ´cause I didn´t understand any of that.
But, then again, I hardly ever understand my wife, and we have been together for 20 years now. So I guess it´s no biggy, if we are having a bit of a communicational / intellectual challenge in our brand new relation. (But just so that we are clear- I´m not looking for another 20+ year thing here. Just .. you know. a bit on the side, in the weekend.... :)
Anyways on a serious note (since Danes are notorious for their use of sarcasm - an art form that I have perfected as a survival strategy due to my work), I´m interested in an easy going, friendly group, who can give and take a bit of friendly banter (How generic, I know). Also, hack n slash has its´ merits, but but I´m looking for something a bit more immersive on the roleplaying aspect - from GM and players alike. I understand the concept of quid pro quo in a campaign, and am ready to put out (the term has minimum 7-8 different meanings, so no innuendos here :)

Ok i sent a friend request over may or may not work so ping me on here if there's an issue. For some reason i fell in love with literature mainly as i was academically useless I never had to study any of it and just read it to help me rather than being told what to do by a teacher, I will tell you about it later but the Viking Poets were epic chaps who went around slaughtering on the one hand while writing.
@nevelmore I know your just a lover of top quality Gustaf - Gustav Metzger – Auto-Destructive Art
An amazing chap can't say his art touches me but a great artist no doubt, below is a Tate perspective on his work - I'm just amazed you referenced his art as part of your application to join us on a journey of creation through acts of destruction
Well, if one chooses one's friends wisely, New York can have entertaining characters. What it has no matter who your friends are, though, is crazy people who shout to the entire subway car that the CIA has installed cameras behind their bathroom mirrors that the aliens will use to control us all when they get here. That's the other thing that Friends leaves out, by the way, all the time you spend on the subway. I don't know how it is for other New Yorkers but for me if you see something that looks like noir sophistication it's actually just a finely honed despair.

What a lovely turn of phrase 'finely honed despair' - i did a lot of work back in the day on the other coast good old silicon valley / San Fran it was beyond depressing everything was fake and everyone in the 'industry' was of such self importance it was vomit inducing. It had such poverty with crazies coming out of rubbish bins to entertain the tourist in some kind of terrifying entertainment/begging experience. I never felt safe for a moment, i did loose weight though as the food was terrible, with the psychotic heroin addict waitresses serving slop leaving fond memories of threatening to kill me for not tipping after paying for a meal which was 80% grease 20% sugar and i'd stopped after first fork filled slop experience ... happy memories

Decent artist.... well sh#t. I have spent more time visiting art museums than I care to think about (wifey again) - so I have taken a stance, demanding that if im to continue joining her on arty-farcy expos - she has got to join me at gaming events (Pro -tip: this seems to be a ultimatum, than can pretty much give me a free-pass on most things - you are free to make use of it, if you, like myself, is shackled up with a significant other). Anyways: I will give you a link to someone I would call an artist: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/04/23/feast-your-eyes-on-an-ork-army-unlike-anything-youve-seen-before/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=40K&utm_content=40kemmasorks23042021&fbclid=IwAR173cJoTp-E7shYbYzvCNQ98yAMhqT1npWctxuK9iCg2w9zm5XiXc79xwM
