Hello there, my name is Daniel, a relatively new DM seeking players to run the D&D Starter Set module Lost Mine of Phandelver. This is a very classically designed High Fantasy adventure set in the Forgotten Realms which involves players searching for the lost entrance to Wave Echo Cave while also defending the village of Phandalin from the various evil forces arrayed against it. The module will take players from levels 1-5 and was designed to introduce new players to D&D 5E (although veterans are also sure to enjoy the adventure). Please read the following for basic information about the campaign:

• Game Schedule: We will be playing weekly on Fridays for 3 hours from 5 PM to 8 PM Mountain Time.

• We'll be Using Roll20 for VTT

• We'll Be Using Discord for Voice Chat

• This is an LGBTQ+ friendly campaign: I will not tolerate homophobic or transphobic discrimination, stereotyping, or "jokes" (if you're the type who likes to make "I identify as an attack helicopter" jokes, do not apply). I will also not tolerate any sexism or racism in my campaign.

• This Campaign is New-Player friendly: If you haven't D&D 5E before this is the perfect first campaign for you, as it was designed with beginners in mind!

• I am an RP Heavy DM: I enjoy roleplaying and am looking for other players who enjoy roleplaying. No murderhobos, please.

• No Homebrew or Unearthed Arcana

• Only Forgotten Realms Races

• No Evil Player Characters

• Session 0: We'll be having a session 0 on Friday, June 11th from 5 PM - 8 PM mountain time in order to create characters, set table expectations, and set up the adventure. What do you enjoy, or think that you would enjoy, the most about D&D? I like the interaction with people along with character creation and story. It really appeals to the writer in me to just communally create a shared experience with a group of people. 

Tell me about one of your favorite non-D&D related media (i.e. books, video games, anime, tv shows etc.) and why you like it: I'm picking this because I just finished season 5B, but one of my favorite series is Netflix's Lucifer. And the reason I like it is that it takes one of the biggest "bad guys" out there (the Devil) and spins a really great arc for him about self-redemption and getting over your own self-loathing and trying to find your own place in a universe that just seems random with a design that no one can understand. And if the Devil is worthy of that? Then why not you?

I enjoy finding a good group of players and ideally playing the game together in a way where everyone's having fun and getting the experience they want out of the game. I love playing all kinds of classes so I usually just ask what roles aren't taken yet and go for those. I'm a performer and enjoy bringing that to the game but I don't push that performativeness on other people and their playstyles.

Been playing in the Adventurer's League in Portland, Oregon since 2017-2018; I left them because they didn't have enough DM's for face-to-face groups and they refused to help me train to become a DM for the Adventurer's League. Alternately, Sabrina Clanless happens to be a Gold Dragonborn whose village was massacred by Giants when she was 5 years old; she's a wizard who used that information (along with the saddlebags, exotic saddle, camel, and cart that also survived the village's destruction) to build a sage's aristocratic lifestyle for herself. Totally called it. My dad is a drama queen who plays World of Warcraft almost exclusively, and he's watched Lord of the Rings and the original Star Wars trilogy. However, (Original) Star Trek and the Star Trek stuff with Sir Patrick Stewart holds a special place in his heart. By "totally called it", I am referring to the fact of whatever group I join, a drama queen inevitably joins a short while later who watches me like an actor does a captive audience.
