Story summary: On a fictional, earth-like planet, zombies have roamed the world due to magical disturbances for over 200 years causing bodies to be reanimated through a virus and for this virus to be spreadable. These magical disturbances also created mutants. The governments of the world tried to rid the world of zombies early on with nuclear bombs. This killed a lot of people and turned the world into a wasteland. Society slowly began to reform in a post apocalyptic mad Max style. Magic became more popular whereas before the apocalypse, it was never even used. Eventually, a cure was found through magic. This cure allowed recently infected zombies to be cured. However, they were no longer human even with the cure and their physiology was forever changed by the virus. Though they could no longer spread it. Eventually, the zombies formed a kingdom around a zombie queen. Due to the mutations of the zombies, fast and smart zombies began to exist and eventually, the zombie queen, the most powerful of all zombies, came to exist. Your settlement put together a team to finally kill the zombie queen to take major steps forward in getting the world back to where it needed to be.
