In ages past, ancient clans of dwarves and gnomes discovered a wonderous cavern, deep within the Sword Mountains, rich in both minerals and magical power called the Wave Echo Cave. The mines true wealth was uncovered when human mages from the nearby town of Phandalin channeled the cave's tremendous magical energy into a great forge capable of crafting powerful magical artifacts. Phandalin prospered for generations until marauding Orcs from the Sword Mountains swept through the region and laid waste to the city and the inhabitants of the mine. Your adventure begins in the present day with an aspiring dwarf miner claiming to have found the lost mine! Unbenknownst to you, however, is that dark forces are working to reclaim the mine as well! Join me in the unique telling of THE LOST MINE OF PHANDELVER and experience the world of Faerûn like never before!
