Two and a half years ago, a group of misfits known as the Mighty Nein brought down one of the most powerful mages in the Empire, Master Trent Ikithon with the help of the Cobalt Soul.
In the time since it has been difficult to ignore the tense atmosphere in the capital, or the strange and unsettling things happening there.
Master Astrid Beck, who had replaced Master Ikithon, disappeared a meer five months after her appointment as the new Archmage of Civic Influence and Expositor Sia Kresh of the Cobalt Soul was found brutally murdered not long after, her body strung up in warning outside of the Rexxentrum Archive.
In this tale of political intrigue and danger, you’ll be playing as a character who is, for whatever reason, working with the Cobalt Soul (and the Expositors) to uncover truths about the goings on in the Empire and beyond.
*While no one can start the game as an Expositor, characters are free to be members of the reserve who may want to climb the ranks and become Expositors one day. You do not have to play a Way of the Cobalt Soul Monk to become an Expositor, any of the following subclasses would also work if you wanted to be part of the Cobalt Soul instead of just affiliated:
Bard - College of Lore
Cleric - Arcana Domain - Knowledge Domain
Druid - Circle of Stars
Fighter - Battle Master
Paladin - Oath of the Crown
Ranger - Hunter (Or any subclass really if you focus on Humanoids)
Rogue - Inquisitive - Mastermind
Wizard - Order of the Scribes
**Also note this game will incorporate Tasha’s into it, including opening up Optional Class Features, Extended Spell Lists, and Additional Fighting Styles.
Level 5 start, Modified Array, Bonus Feat and Items at start.
