Campaign Details:
Setting: Kerreth Editt on the continent of Arkhana (A home-brewed high-fantasy setting for Project Aurora.) Campaign Length: Open Ended (Level 1-15 expected). I would like for this campaign to continue after the summer ends. Campaign Style:Significantamount or Role Play and other social encounters mixed with Moderate amounts of Exploration, Combat, and Intrigue. All player actions make an impact on the world and effect the setting for other players to learn about/experience in the future.
Campaign Primer: Kerreth Editt is located on the southern archipelago of Arkhana. It is in the process of stabilizing its borders following frequent incursions of demons from the Land of Chaos and disputes with The Bryarwood Dynasty. The leaders of the seven cities are meeting in hopes of unifying the nation. Threats abound from every direction and these leaders need your help.
Due to lore reasons, this Campaign will have limitations on character race and class. Initially, there will be no Dragonborn, Kalashtar, Shifter, Tiefling, Warforged, Centaur, Loxodon, Minotaur, Leonin, Satyr, Triton, or Simic Races, or Wildemont Subraces. Warlocks may be an issue due to the country being at constant war with the region controlled by Demons and Fiends, but we may be able to work this into the campaign.
Character Creation:
All player characters will be from Kerreth Editt.
Character Creation will be done using Modified Standard Array of 17, 15, 13, 12, 10, and 8.
During Character Creation, you may take 1 point from any racial ability score bonus granted to your ability scores and move it to ANY OTHER ability score which DOES NOT ALREADY gain a bonus from your race.
The DM will meet with each player to help develop their character backstories so that character progression and goals can be included within the campaign.
Prior to Session Zero each character will establish a "bond" to at least one other character.
Encounter Frequency: (the higher the number means the more times encounters of that nature will occur on a scale of 1-5) Roleplay: 4/5 Exploration: 3/5 Combat: 3/5 Intrigue: 3/5
Price:FREE
Who is OldGuyDM?
I am a retired US Naval Officer and current middle and high school math teacher who lives on the Southern Oregon Coast. My students and most of the town of 1,000 in which I live call me Mr. T. Pre-Covid I DJ'd and ran Karaoke for parties, schools, and at the local bars for my evening social interactions. Post-Covid I switched my major socializing to Dungeons & Dragons (I was already playing live). I have over two decades of experience as a Dungeon (Game) Master in multiple TTRPG formats. I found a need for online DM's and am currently running multiple pre-built (module/book) campaigns and have had a high degree of success bringing players together from around the USA and Canada.
What is Project Aurora
Project Aurora is a living persistent world, an MMO D&D experience spanning across a vast universe hosting multiple D&D campaigns & One-shots. All games affect the same shared universe in a multitude of ways. Player’s actions can have consequences so large that it can potentially affect multiple campaigns in real time. Through a small team of DM and players, D&D can be experienced in a way never seen before.
Real players have left their mark on the Auroraverse. From creating entire factions, having magical breakthroughs, to even starting divine wars. From stepping into a tavern for the first time, to slaying a mythical dragon, everyone leaves their mark, how will you?
