Hi! My name is Soap. I'm actively looking for a game that can scratch my RP itch. I am definitely willing to commit for long term! If i sound like a good fit for your game, my discord tag is soap#5460
What days work best for you?
Sunday is preferred. If not, I can play Mon - Thurs after 9pm. (EST)
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
I love having character to character conversation. Even the confrontational ones when the characters become so frustrated with each other. It makes for richer experience when all those moments amalgamate into a deep relationship.
I played at a table where the DM like to put really difficult fights one after another and I hated the experience so much that I had to leave. Don't get me wrong. I do love a good combat. But I don't particularly enjoy endless min/max ridiculous fights.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
Nothing in particular. As long as I'm not being railroaded too much and I get to have some choice for my character's future I'm a happy camper.
If I have to add, some prev game allowed for real dice rolls which was really neat. But it is not at all important.
Do you enjoy role-playing?
I LOVE ROLEPLAY! For my next game, I'm really hoping for thoughtful and meaningful RP interactions with PCs and NPCs.
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
Yep! So long as time works out and we all get along well, I don't see any reason why I wouldn't want to stick around.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
A classic heroes' journey? I'm not picky! So long as there's an interesting plot I'm down for any kind of stories. Maybe 1 exception. I don't think I will enjoy an evil campaign. Just not my cup of tea.
Sunday after noon PST, Mon-Thurs after 5pm PST, I can try to make fri/sat work if planned ahead of time.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
Enjoyed: We entered a dungeon with kobolds and goblins to kill, we left the dungeon with a peace treaty signed between the two of them, including the release of eachother's prisoners and a non-aggression agreement towards the nearby human settlement.
Disliked: Playing through Dragon Heist, attempting to use a paper bird as a homing beacon to find someone by name, having it self destruct because "that's not how you're supposed to find that NPC" Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
Shopping is usually a chore, but my last DM had every shop be a quick roleplay encounter and it made purchasing things a lot less of a game concept and more of a fun character concept, also making us think about where to actually go to buy certain things, and what towns would/wouldn't have, I think it would be cool to see this in more campaigns.
Do you enjoy role-playing?
Absolutely, I love combat as well but I prefer an 80/20 or 70/30 split. Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
As long as everyone else is too!
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
I have no specific plot in mind, but I hope that every player gets a character arc of some kind.
I'm gonna assume that I live in a very different timezone from most of the players here. My timezone is GMT+8, but I'm very willing to make timeslots work. I can be free for games that start as early as 5am and run until around 11am GMT+8 on Saturdays and Sundays. That generally translates to Friday and Saturday afternoon to night for USA timezones. Not quite sure if that lines up with your free time, but if you give me your timezone, I might be able to work something out.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
I've only really played two sessions in two different campaigns ran by a few friends as a drop-in character so I can't really say that I've experienced something I disliked. What I did really like during my experience was trying to figure out how best to work around a puzzle and roleplaying.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
As I'm pretty much a total noob at this, I can't really say anything for this part. I'm really eager to learn though.
Do you enjoy role-playing?
Yes!
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
Definitely. This is really what I'm looking for.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
I don't have anything particular in mind. I think I'd just like an engaging story and since you want to run a character-driven story, I think that's perfect.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
[I personally enjoyed as player tense moments that my character goes through. An example was a meeting with our big bad. Our leader, my character's lover, was just killed and we released the bbeg from his prison and as a reward, he revived our leader. One I disliked was when our dm started playing favorites, so one character was given leeway to fo whatever he wanted.] Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
[I enjoyed this homebrew rule of of max damage is rolled, roll again and add them together. Its how my character did 55 damage for the first time with a scimitar.] Do you enjoy role-playing?
[Yes, I do. I fully commit to a role. I adopt a whole personality, I get character art, music, and I used to do voices but my throat was messed up so I can't anymore.] Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
[Yes, 100%]
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
[An adventure full of growth, choices, stories and amazing characters.]
I’m a medically retired veteran and stay at home dad so anytime is fine with me as long as it’s planned ahead of time.
an awesome experience I had was as a lever 3 ranger chasing a mage that I had to jump on horseback and chase him until I got close enough to tackle him. Mind you I was part of a group and made some amazing rolls to subdue the mage! That was during the 3.5 E rules and before my time overseas.
the time I hated most. Recently, the DM and other dudes thought my lvl 1 monk was OP so the DM blatantly tried to kill my character. He inadvertently almost smoked 2 other players while trying to kill me. 2d8+2 with a constant roll of “19” against 3 level 1 characters........
I like rolling my stats and then being able to add and subtract from them while maintaining nothing below 6 and nothing above an 18.
I am totally immersed into D&D. I love creating a character with a detailed backstory and playing like that. ddb.ac/characters/52597237/6M6I3u
i would love to find a dedicated group to play with and even work into epic level content.
I like a gritty and unforgiving story and campaign. I am not all about fairy’s and rainbows.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed: Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica campaign. The death of our first pc triggered a domino effect in our party in which we all experienced the spark and became planeswalkers at the same time while still in combat. Huge cinematic moment and descriptions just left all of stunned.
An experience you have personally disliked as a player: Anecdotes popping up mid playing, and once they conclude, the DM not moving on through the scene quickly enough, ie inviting for more things to be said about them. Especially painful when it takes us 30 minutes to start in the first place because of talking as well. Just in general when having a short amount of time to play, not using that time playing.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns? Nothing really stand out, though I've only been in one other campaign at this point, though it has gone on for 2 years. Tried to join another campaign with an old friend from high school, but it didn't have much success between scheduling and players playing video games in the background/generally just not paying attention. Do you enjoy role-playing? Very much so, though I've only found myself in a group that is more focused on plan creating and player discussion rather than discussing through our actual characters. There is at least one character in our group that I don't think has had an actual line of dialogue yet. So definitely looking for a group to switch things up on that. Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign? 100%. One shots or campaigns with just a few sessions just are not very satisfying to me. I get invested quickly and just want more content with the characters I create.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign? Really don't have a preference. I do like stories that tend to challenge to narrative on a few things, such as traditionally evil races not being evil by default, but am really happy to play anything.
-Hopefully any weekday anywhere from 9am-4pm (EST) -I could do weekends but prefer leaving them open.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player… -Liked: mhhm last campaign i got to finish off a mindflayer on my own after the rest of the party was either dead or unconscious.
-Disliked: mhhm off the top of my head nothing stands out much except i felt that sometimes the DM would go to fast to the next thing, hack and slash style. not letting us time to actually rp the walk for a good 2-3-5 minutes if needed.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns? -I have 2 or 3 character ideas that i would like to explore with the right DM.
Do you enjoy role-playing?
-I enjoy both RP and Fighting so i wouldnt mind a 70/30 or something like 50/50 even (I'll try my best to stick to the character voice)
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
-Yes i was always kind of sad whenever people would disband after only lvl 5.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
-I have only played so many campaigns up to about lvl 5 or so... -So especially if its a long campaign I would like to have a character driven story.
Experience: 1 month (( I am brand spanking new baby.))
Location/Timezone: EST
Questionnaire What days work best for you? Wednesday or Thursday due to work schedule
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player… I only had one experience as a player, and everyone seemed pretty laid back, and chill. Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns? no Do you enjoy role-playing? yes I do. I have been doing it for years Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
As long as it adheres to my schedule then we should be fine.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
I would love a story that connects to each individual player as a whole. one where everyone has their own personal stake in the treasure we are seeking that way no one feels like a side character.

Saturdays or Sundays 10am PST to 5pm PST (I'm in the UK)
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
Ane experience I enjoyed as a player was during a Star Wars game when through a series of lucky persuasion roles I was able to avoid fighting a Hutts entire cartel and managed to trick them into sabotaging their own base so opportunities to RP are always a plus for me. As for an experience I have not enjoyed it would be railroading DMs Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
My favourite DMs have been open to collaborating on homebrewed spells or items that fit the tone and situation so a chance for that would be great Do you enjoy role-playing?
Yes, it's so much fun being in the headspace of a character and dealing with twists and turns Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
Definitely
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
Varied, I like most fantasy story hooks but a special fondness for situations requiring more cunning than martial skill. My only area I dislike is outright horror, horror elements are fine but a full horror story is not my thing
My name is Zack (Age 33 He/Him) and am semi new to the dnd world
What days work best for you?
Weekends work best for me.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
So far my experiences have all been good. Really just want to get more hours under my belt. Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
Nothing in particular. Open to anything really. Do you enjoy role-playing?
Love role-playing. Theatre technician here. Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
Yes. Im in another campaign but it only meet 1-2 times a month on saturdays 7:30-8pm EST
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
Looking for more connections and fun. Just want to play and create :)
my name is chris and i am 29 love to join your dungeon and dragons any day works for me.I not played d and d with other people so i don't know want to put for my experience or previous campaigns sorry i do enjoy role-play i would like to commit to a long term campaign as for the type of story as long the people are fun i don't mind want you go for my discord is darkdragon7374#1013
Hey, there. Sounds interesting. I'm in AZ time, so depends on whether Daylight Savings Time is active or not.
What days work best for you? Likely Tuesdays or Wednesdays, later in the day. Am fairly open at the moment though for afternoon games so long as I have some advance notice.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player… Liked: One of my groups stumbled into a mystery that related to the history of the city itself and I'm eager to dive more into it. The "mystery" was a giant figure that just appeared and almost killed us. Gotta figure out where it came from.
Disliked: In one campaign I played in, one of the other characters was super chaotic and ended up trying to kill the rest of us. PvP is not my cup of tea. Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns? Nothing comes to mind. Do you enjoy role-playing? Yeah. It was hard for me at first, but DM-ing has made me want to try it in a more long-term setting. Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign? For now, yes. Once uni starts back up though, not sure I'd be able to make the time.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign? Something fairly heroic, I guess. I don't have too many expectations as far as the exact story goes.
Hey I'm Tom and after not having much luck with reddit, I'm looking here. I'm especially interested in trying out AboveVTT.
I'm a D&D veteran since the old days, and enjoy sitting in both the DM and player seats. My discord is Name Taken#7089 (note there is a space between the 2 words)
What days work best for you? Saturdays or sundays are best, can be flexible on other days possibly as I work nights
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player… I *loved* a short campaign (icespire) where the DM had things like intermission screens, nice recaps on his landing page, and tried to incorporate our backtories as much as possible. The dislikes: I joined this one group where I swear everyone was an "ear-r@pist" and had no concept of mic etiquette. Another example is "that guy" powergamer/murderhobo/no room for other players in their games.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns? I like it when there's a good mix of everything, a little humor, a little grit, etc. It doesn't need to be super serious but it should be somewhat realistic with consequences and no super-silly antics.
Do you enjoy role-playing? YES! very yes :D
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign? yes :)
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign? pretty open to anything there. I have a handful of ideas I could pitch...
Hey there my name is Seth, I am a newer player in D&D, as in I started getting into it last December, I have been watching a fair amount of all sorts of content to understand it better, (as in I somehow watched all of Critical Role Cam. 2 from start to finish from like January). I started DM'ing a Hoard of the Dragon Queen campaign for a few months now and I have played a small one shot with some friends so I would say I understand all of it pretty well. Plus having like 12 sum odd books helps too.
On to the fun stuff!
What days are best for me? Short Answer, Sunday, maybe Tuesday for now, It's weird as I am a college student and the fall semester is starting soon, so idk how that is going to work, I have a job too and it's part time so I may get that to work well but really the kicker is school as I am having difficulties and if it comes to it school will have to take priority which really sucks to say.
Give an example of an experience you've had as a player that you personally enjoyed and an experience you have personally disliked as a player:
Ok easy enough, so far with my limited player experience I really enjoyed when I got to play to my character strengths, I was playing a changeling rogue in a one shot, and was successfully sneaking around a ship with hidden enemies, inspecting things, learning about the crew, etc. I got caught and used my dexterity to slip out and changed appearance/clothes in the crowd. I rolled a Nat 20 on Acrobatics to jump to another ship which was just fun.
The bad, I have never personally experienced this but I'm gonna put it down since you said 18+ campaign, I have never enjoyed hearing stories with detailed sex scenes, like it's cool for characters to love each other and play it off that they went off to a secluded location imo, but I personally don't really need to know how both parties (or more) are doing what they are doing. Detailed gore, darker themes, etc. I don't mind so much as long as it doesn't trigger other people but that's my personal one.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish were in other campaigns?
I honestly don't really know, aside from house rules I don't know much about the other campaigns and I haven't done enough as either player or DM to know specific examples.
Do you enjoy roleplaying?
Yea, a lot actually, I am definitely in the boat of finding my roleplaying legs still though I cringe at myself quite often and can't quite hold a voice that isn't my own lol but I enjoy it very much!
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
I am yea, to be honest I thought most were, I will most definitely have difficulties timing wise but I will do my best to not impede the group as the reason we have the all feared scheduling difficulties.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
Honestly? I'm down for anything that fits that medieval fantasy vibe, I've always known about D&D for years without specifics, but I always knew it encompassed swords and undead and curses and such, so while I know there are modern campaigns they never fit the bill and always seem the opposite of what I imagine it to be.
Oh and my Discord is DraGonR1d3r007#7643 I hope I get to play in your game! I understand if not though as there are already I think 17 replies, so whoever you choose I hope you all have lots of fun if it isn't me!
Hello! I am interested in joining in and have been looking for a campaign for a while now. I also have a friend who may interested so I will give their contact if you are willing to let me check things out!
My tag is SolSkyline#4146
What days work best for you?
Weekends
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
+: I once was in a campaign where my character was traversing a rocky cave with steep drops with my party. I was able to use my two handaxes to get across and I loved that my DM allowed me to use my weapons as a interesting tool. I did fall eventually due to 3 crit fails, but we all laughed about it.
-: A DM i had put all of us in a PVP match with his own character. His character won.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
Nothing specific, just flexibility when it comes to homebrew and in-game decisions. Do you enjoy role-playing?
Yes! Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
I was in a campaign for 1.5 years, I would do it again.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
Weekends are typically the best days for me. I'm also PST, and the best time of day for me would be after 1pm.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
Well, an awesome experience was just playing a game where the DM let me get away with a lot of rule of cool kind of stuff. But let me tell you about the bad experience. Long story short, the DM wanted to start a new campaign, rather than letting me keep my character I just made as a new player to D&D, he brutally murdered him. Basically there was only three of us: a paladin who couldn't get his priorities straight, myself, and a drunk apathetic monk. We were on death row because we were caught breaking into the house of the court wizard who was actually evil. So I was trying to escape. The drunk monk caused a riot instead, and the paladin healed the enemy because technically they weren't evil, they were just prison guards doing their job. Oh and he didn't like that I was killing them, so he betrayed the party, the drunk monk gave up, and I was killed by an arrow trap (landmine) while running away. The kicker is that the paladin was saved G-man style, and the monk was only imprisoned instead of killed, and my character was super dead.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
The ability to play my own homebrew races at least, and possibly subclasses too.
Do you enjoy role-playing?
Yes, I usually end up being a sarcastic and kind of aggressive persona though.
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
Yes. That's what I'm looking for really. I want to make new friends.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
Anything that's a little different from the normal LOTR quest kind of thing. I also love weird and fantastic/terrifying world's with deep dark lore. But I also like to take it easy at some point, not every second I'm fighting for my life.
My girlfriend and I are looking for a group to play with. I will be playing a envoy warforged battlesmith artificer. he will be a tank/support. She doesnt know what she is playing yet. I have some experience but never had campaign last long enough to get a character above level 14. She is pretty new and this will either be her first or second campaign depending on how fast we get this going vs how vast I can get her up to speed with my other campaign. monday-wednesday works better for us but we can do 6-9 EST thursday, friday, or sunday
Questionare:
1. monday-wednesday works better for us but we can do 6-9 EST thursday, friday, or sunday
2. I played this character in a previous campain that died at lvl 14. I used jewel crafting to make someone a pc a wedding ring for another pc, which was cool. I didnt like when one time a pc got drunk and went on 2 hour tirade where she was touturing/flirting with a high lvl moster we captured. I was more upset with the DM for allowing it to go on and not stopping it after like 15 minutes tops.
3. last dm liked artificers, and allowed me to stockpile infused items, saying i had a limit of could make per day instead of a limit of any at a time. This was very broken becasue i was able to have all I and the party needed of said items then just make 4-5 magic items a day and sell them. i had way to much money, and our group was basically ble to pay for anythign we wanted. I get how this is broken, but is there a way ti do this a little, such as like 1/whatever time frame you want to set or 1/whatever condition you set can become everlasting. he was just giving me my max number of infused items per day for free which was nuts, but a small something like that wouldnt be so bad
4. love it. I want a healthy mix of role play and combat. my character is very much a crafter, so ill be doing alot of that
5 would prefer a long term campaign as i love this character alot, Ill share his backstory with you if we end up playing together.
6. Not really sure, something exciting i guess

I don't have anything particular in mind. I think I'd just like an engaging story and since you want to run a character-driven story, I think that's perfect.
What days work best for you?
[My Sundays are open all day honestly.]
One I disliked was when our dm started playing favorites, so one character was given leeway to fo whatever he wanted.]
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
[I enjoyed this homebrew rule of of max damage is rolled, roll again and add them together. Its how my character did 55 damage for the first time with a scimitar.]
Do you enjoy role-playing?
[Yes, I do. I fully commit to a role. I adopt a whole personality, I get character art, music, and I used to do voices but my throat was messed up so I can't anymore.]
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
[Yes, 100%]
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
[An adventure full of growth, choices, stories and amazing characters.]
My discord is DemonMiyu#0843,
I’m a medically retired veteran and stay at home dad so anytime is fine with me as long as it’s planned ahead of time.
an awesome experience I had was as a lever 3 ranger chasing a mage that I had to jump on horseback and chase him until I got close enough to tackle him.
What days work best for you: Monday or Thursday

What days work best for you?
-Hopefully any weekday anywhere from 9am-4pm (EST)
-I could do weekends but prefer leaving them open.
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
-Liked: mhhm last campaign i got to finish off a mindflayer on my own after the rest of the party was either dead or unconscious.
Just PM me on D&D Beyond for my Discord please!

What days work best for you? Wednesday or Thursday due to work schedule
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
I only had one experience as a player, and everyone seemed pretty laid back, and chill.
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
no
Do you enjoy role-playing?
yes I do. I have been doing it for years
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
As long as it adheres to my schedule then we should be fine.
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
I would love a story that connects to each individual player as a whole. one where everyone has their own personal stake in the treasure we are seeking that way no one feels like a side character.

What days work best for you?
Saturdays or Sundays 10am PST to 5pm PST (I'm in the UK)
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
Ane experience I enjoyed as a player was during a Star Wars game when through a series of lucky persuasion roles I was able to avoid fighting a Hutts entire cartel and managed to trick them into sabotaging their own base so opportunities to RP are always a plus for me. As for an experience I have not enjoyed it would be railroading DMs
Is there anything from previous campaigns that you wish was in other campaigns?
My favourite DMs have been open to collaborating on homebrewed spells or items that fit the tone and situation so a chance for that would be great
Do you enjoy role-playing?
Yes, it's so much fun being in the headspace of a character and dealing with twists and turns
Are you willing to commit to a long-term campaign?
Definitely
What type of story are you looking for in a campaign?
Varied, I like most fantasy story hooks but a special fondness for situations requiring more cunning than martial skill. My only area I dislike is outright horror, horror elements are fine but a full horror story is not my thing

Saturdays or sundays are best, can be flexible on other days possibly as I work nights
Give an example of an experience you’ve had as a player that you personally enjoyed, and an experience you have personally disliked as a player…
I *loved* a short campaign (icespire) where the DM had things like intermission screens, nice recaps on his landing page, and tried to incorporate our backtories as much as possible.

But I also like to take it easy at some point, not every second I'm fighting for my life.
hello,
My girlfriend and I are looking for a group to play with.
