I'm a 42 y/o player new to D&D. I'm looking for a new group. I enjoy playing support classes and have done a bit of RP but not a lot (def willing to give it a go). Mainly looking for a fun group that's willing to teach. I have some experience and have done a few one-shots. I want to get into a campaign.
I am looking for newish players to fill in on campaigns I have currently brewing, new players are acceptable and i am willing to be patient, expectations will be laid out and im going to have to meet with everyone whos interested first to see if we vibe, and will be a good fit.
Its important i mention the campaign is in a bit of a lull, as a friend of mine has been inspired to take up DMing, we likely won't be starting for another 2 weeks or so, however he will need players as well!
New players are important life blood for the game.
I live in the United States EST I'd prefer people within the similar time zone, for ease of communication and scheduling.
I use Roll 20, its functional. If you don't like the software you won't be interested.
I have been running my games around the 7 PM EST ball park, average game length of 4 hours.
I have been DMing for a mere 400 hours, but have consumed a good bit of media on the subject of D&D, as a result I am running a light homebrewed D&D 5e game with minor alterations, I believe in putting the players in the spotlight rather than curtailing the entirety of the experience. As far as Roleplaying expectations go, if you put time into a character, im going to reward you for it, at the same time some people aren't comfortable being put into roleplay scenarios or speaking in character and so on. I have no roleplay expectations, all players are welcome in that regard.
Mature players who aren't easily offended may apply.
That being said, I respect people's boundaries, and expect respect in return, however I also believe in freedom of speech. If you can't handle a joke, the relationship simply won't work.
D&D is after all, a very social experience first and foremost, its important I share a bit about myself
Anyone who finds the above criteria acceptable may contact me via discord, please ensure you inform me who you are and introduce yourself (:
Looking forward to hearing from some of you. Take care!
