Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (unless you're in Western North Carolina, then we'll talk about a possible in-person campaign!) Experience: I would prefer new, dedicated players or individuals with only a couple of years under their belt. Not really looking for old guard. Location/Timezone: WNC, Eastern time zone. Schedule: We plan to play Monday nights. This will likely be bi-weekly to start but could very quickly become a weekly game. The game will start at 7 (or 8) and end by 11. Roles sought: Looking for two (possibly 3) players. Game style: My intention is to run an introductory adventure that will take the players from levels 1 - 5 then jump into a longer adventure from there. This will be very story-driven and may end up being more of a railroad than a sandbox. I have already DM'd portions of each of these campaigns. This campaign will include plenty of combat, buying into a distinct story & roleplaying but my expectations are pretty minimal in that regard. Just play to your comfort. No voice acting necessary, but getting into your character or at the very least reacting to the world as your character will be expected. We preface each session with a question to be answered in-character to get you into the zone. :-)
I have successfully DM'd three campaigns to completion with various groups of friends, typically in person. I relocated recently, however, and am looking to DM a new campaign online. I had plenty of experience DMing online in 2020 with remote requirements of players so this is nothing new! We primarily play on Roll20 but will sometimes use Google Meet for video if Roll20 is being slow.
You will be joining a group of three current players. One is brand new to DnD but a great person, the other two have played multiple campaigns that I have DM'd already but would not consider themselves veterans. I anticipate a pretty casual game but with the general DnD rules observed. We're all pretty big into free speech and not being cancelled for making a joke so if you're easily offended by an obtuse, off-handed remark in character or someone asking your orc why he's racist against halflings then this will likely not be a good group for you. We all want to have fun, not walk on egg shells.
If all of this sounds like a good fit for you, please respond here or send me a private message! We will likely run a one-shot to make sure that you mesh well with the group before we jump into the actual campaign. Looking forward to hearing from you!
If you are still looking for players I'd love to see if I'm a good fit. I've been laying for a few years but it was mostly as a DM (only ever played in two veeeery short campaigns)
I would love to join you if possible. I dont have a camera but I do have a mic. I am completely new, aside from dabbling in 3.5 for maybe 2 3 hour sessions 15 years ago. I honestly prefer a group that isn't easily offended... makes RP more fun in the long run.
Hi! My name is Iris from Singapore and would love to join your group! I started slightly more than 2 years ago and just when I was about to really get into it, I got pregnant and then COVID-19 happened. Typically I would be busy on Monday nights but thankfully I'm 12 hours ahead of you guys and it would be Tuesday morning for me which works out awesomely for me! I DMed once and played many one shots. Hoping to have a group that get along and have fun together!
I'm interested in playing in there's still room. I've only played 1 Game, but it didn't finish. I've got the bug so I'm looking to play again. However, I'm in Australia if you're ok with Play by Text.
Hi! Fairly new player here. Only a couple sessions under my belt but I'm learning fast. I live in Ohio so the time zone is perfect. I am just looking for a cool group of people to have fun with and play some D&D. Thanks for you consideration and i hope to here from you soon.
"We preface each session with a question to be answered in-character to get you into the zone. :-)" that's legit. Man I really want to join this group lol.
I have played DnD on an off over the years, by no means a pro but good enough to need minimum hand holding. I just never played over the internet. At the table, I'm not great with making up voices an stuff but I like to stay in character. I don't mind a theme park, however id like to know that's for sure what's gonna happen so I don't derail the story and make it hard to DM. Not into murder hobos unless everyone's some sort of evil alignment and it makes sense. Not a ball buster for the rules. Iv never played with a map or whatever, its all been spoken word...you say it, you play it, you die type of thing.

I'm newer then a baby from the Womb to this but I've been dying to learn and have some guidance. Live on the East coast so timezone should play in our favor!
Never played dnd but always watched videos of other people playing and sitting besides friends that played it IRL so i thought why not give it a shot.... im from germany so time-zone wise its hard on me but i still should be alright -- especially the next 6-8 weeks since summer break is happening... The best way to get in contact with me would be Discord -- That being Kirika#3748. --- Hoping to hear from you and excited for the adventure to start!
I've been playing 1st ed dnd for a few years, but have virtually no experience with 5th ed. I'm typically very resourceful when thinking myself out of hairy situations and would like to as you mentioned give a preliminary session a go. I also haven't used either of Roll20 or google meet before, so I'd probably need you to fill me in on those. I DM on Sundays at the moment, so as long as the other session of the biweekly game isn't then, it should be fine.
Hey Everyone, just a friendly heads up that this group is now full. If I didn't send you a private message do not fret! Given the level of interest here, and my lack of ability to find any in-person games in my current locale, I will likely end up running a different group soon. I'll be in touch and thanks for your interest!
