A darkness brews across the lands of Astraeus, a remote island on Abeir-Toril. Strange things have begun to occur. People have gone missing or have begun to act entirely different. Yet, investigations into these matters have returned naught but frustration for those who have tried.
These incidents have remained isolated from the larger cities of the island, and have been entirely focused within the smaller, less defensible villages. You know little of these matters, aside from what has been gossiped about by the locals of the town you currently reside in.
You, specifically, are a member of a party of up and coming adventurers. Why you are in this group is for you to decide, as are your goals and aspirations. Yet, currently, you reside with the party at the Eye of the Beholder, an inn in the town of Iroe, a modest mining settlement that has managed to stay out of the problems and politics of the larger world.
At the start of the first session, you and your party mates will of just arrived back at the Eye of the Beholder after a successful quest, the details of which you will be free to decide among yourselves.
Your Story
This is YOUR story. Yes, there is a central plot, which will continue to progress for better or worse even should you choose to ignore it to do other personal character matters. Do not worry though, it is fine to go attend to your matters. It's what a real person would do as well. Do things your character wants to do, and focus on the main plot as you see fit. Just note that just because you aren't partaking in the main plot, doesn't mean it isn't progressing. This holds true for side plots as well. It's not like your PC can be everywhere at once. So don't worry about going off to do your own thing.
I expect each player to have a backstory that can be weaved into the plot so that I can still keep you guys on track without putting you on rails. But you can go off rails as desired. Time And Date - Sundays. 3pm CST to 7pm CST. Weekly. Format of Play - D&D 5e. Roll20 or Tabletop Simulator for battlemaps and the like. As well as Discord for voice calls.
Ideal Age - 18+. I am attempting to keep things gore free, but due to the nature of the main antagonists of the campaign, it is a little difficult to keep things from being a little gory. As such I don't feel comfortable with younger. That said, there shall be nothing NSFW at the table, so younger can apply but, be warned.
Number of Players - Maximum of 5 people will be accepted.
How to Join - Message me expressing interest. Preferably over my email or my discord account, so that I see it immediately. My email is darklight.painting@gmail.com - My discord is Alino#6571
Cost of Play - $10 per session. Some sessions may run shorter than 4 hours, and some may run longer, but to keep things from being frustrating to deal with, it is just a flat $10 rate per session. Session 0 is free, however. And you may pay after sessions. If you choose to leave after a session, you do not have to pay for said session. The cost is mainly to justify the time put into designing the campaign, in addition to the cost of some tools I use, such as Inkarnate, and the fact I will be getting a Roll20 subscription if we play via Roll20.
Small treat of what you will see during the campaign, here is the setting map.
