A Tyranny of Dragons, an epic adventure in two volumes, was the very first official campaign released for 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. It is a classic campaign featuring an epic struggle against the most iconic enemies the D&D universe has to offer. Right at level 1, player characters are confronted with the menace of the rising Cult of the Dragon, and the devastation it brings across the Sword Coast.

This is a long-term campaign, with a lot of opportunity for individual character development. It best suits characters of high idealism and noble intentions, and it is D&D at its purest form: epic heroes doing epic things for a higher cause. As a DM, dragons have always been some of my favourite characters to play, as well as monsters to run in combat, and this campaign is full of them. Fame and glory await those who dare oppose the rise of the Dragon Queen!
