Looking for a party for my campaign!

Hello! I'm looking for 4 players (maybe less) to join a RP-heavy campaign I've been writing: Mr. Schmacher's Circus Lunacy! I'm a little new to the GM seat, so I'm probably not gonna be the best. But I hope I'm able to craft a story you'll enjoy.

The campaign will be taking place in Discord. Whether you decide to use D&D Beyond or make a physical character sheet and scan it is up to you. We will be using Roll20 (if I can figure it out!) for encounters.

Making a full party of strangers is something I've never done before, so I want to establish something right off the bat. I do not tolerate toxicity or harassment of any kind. That kind of behavior will result in an instant kick or block. I want my server to feel like a safe place for POC and LGBT people.

For character building, I'll need you to DM to me about your PC (to keep it secret from the other players!). My world has very different lore than the core D&D stuff, even down to naming conventions. Though you can use a pre-made character if you want, my recommendation is to make a basic PC outline (without a name) and then communicate with me from there. I will be adding lore based on your characters' backstories.

Something I really want to try out for this campaign is to make permanent changes to the world based on your choices. This will require me to turn your PCs into potential NPCs for the next time I use this campaign's world. I don't feel comfortable just stealing them though, so I want to make clear that your PCs will be credited. But I understand if that still makes you uncomfortable.

Once we're done building characters, the campaign will begin on Sundays at about 6:00 PDT. I want this to feel low-stress, since even I won't always be in the mood to participate in an RP.

I prefer people about my own age (18), but I don't feel comfortable inviting people below that age for safety reasons.
