New and eager player with a whacky schedule looking for a group

Game style: combat/roleplay: What I would enjoy doing is taking characters I have made and playing them out and growing them. That is typically my priority in a game. I also enjoy a good story and fun fights. I like taking my characters seriously and would like to play a game where others take their characters seriously as well.

I am brand new to dnd and have only ever played two sessions (the first dungeon in lost mines of phandelver) so roleplay is not something I have had experience with; that being said, I wouldn't necessarily be bad at it, but we shall see. I understand the rules for the most part as well as the lore of dnd. My biggest challenge is my whacky schedule because my workdays alternate weekly, so whatever days I work one week I do not work the next. It leads to me not being able to meet the same day every week; my meeting days have to alternate as well. I hope to find people that can work around this. I know it is a pain, for I have worked this schedule for years, and it has prevented me from playing dnd for a long time. I need experience if I am ever to become a dungeon master, which is my ultimate goal someday.
