After his village was destroyed by a Blue Dragon, Cesar went into the life of a hermit going from village to village and surviving from scrap to scrap. When he was robbed in a street alley, he turned to a life a faith. Because they had much in common ( Power being taken away multiple times) Apollo took pity on him. (Character)
Name: Kalib Romane (He/Him)
Race/Class: Half-Elf/Rogue
Age: 21
Backstory: With his Mother and Father working themselves to the grave, he was left alone poor along with his little sister, the town wasn't fond of any Half-Elves or race alike based upon recent acts of War between Human, because of such hatred, their Ruler of the Town ordered all Half-Elves to be captured and thrown out. Meanwhile a Riot struck out and the town of those who disagreed sought to fight back with little to fight with, easily overran by guards and taken forcibly onto a Large wagon, The guards had separated Kalib from his sister during the scene. Kalib managed to disarm and impale not 1 but 3 guards before brutally knocked out, Imprisoned later beaten by many methods of torture. The Ruler of Town (Name can be given if discussed privately) ordered for Kalib's Execution a week after the riot as an example for those who want to defy his commands...But instead the Ruler had other plans, he declined his death and made Kalib his personal Dog. Kalib would be ordered and sent out to various lands and collect Bounties, then return, No questions asked. Kalib took the freedom of such work to not only earn the little coin he was offered without negotiation but in search of his little sister, and one day Kalib sought to seek revenge to the one that not only gave him a second chance, but the one who took away his first.
Experience: I have been a DM for about two years and have played in some infrequent campaigns and one-shots. Additionally, I am currently running an RPG club at my university, so I know a lot about helping new players/DMs.
Time Zone: (EST, not on Mondays but this might change when school starts back up)
Character idea: Klaus Bayern, human cleric, a member of an evil cult that has been infiltrating Wildemount's Dwendalian Empire to make it more authoritarian than it already is, but he made a mistake and was punished by the cult to do the one thing he hates the most, helping the weak. Therefore, he must aid groups of adventurers in their work in hopes of regaining status in the cult, or realizing for himself a better path. Either way, he will be a loyal healer... for now.
Favorite Critical Role Character: Jester obviously. She is so passionate about her belief in the Traveler and believes that he is always there with her. Never mind the weasel.
Name and pronouns: Mike Me Age: 57 Experience: Veteran 5e, DM and player Timezone: GMT+1 (UK) so your timing is perfect Availability: Would preferer weekday Character Idea: Love to try a Moon Druid, a hunter from the Greytrader Union protecting the beasts and monsters from poaching and persecution Fav CritRole Character, and why it’s Jester : Errrrrr......is it a nat 1 to admit I've never watched CritRole!!
Experience: I started playing about 2/3 years ago, but only a few oneshots here and there. I'm still fairly inexperienced and I'm still learning (I expect I'll still be learning 10 years from now)
Timezone: CEST, GMT+2 (i am a frenchie)
Availability: if you're still going for sessions between 1-4 pm EDT, fridays or saturdays are best for me, but I can adapt
Character Idea: I've got so many ideas tbh, but I'd like to try an Aasimar Paladin who's been lost about she is, who she wants to become and just doesn't quite know yet which path she wants to follow. The only thing she knows is the god her family has served and she fears to stray from them (both her family and her god/goddess). A very indecisive character who thinks she knows right from wrong but will have to realize quite soon that she really doesn't. All the other details I would give you in private. Boy she'd be a joy to play!
Fav CritRole Character, and why it’s Jester : Fave character is Yasha, because she's so far away from the idea of a barbarian. I find her fascinating. i like that she's very quiet and reserved. But Jester is as precious and badass as can be, she's a close second!
Name and pronouns: Crystal, her/she Age:32 Experience: none Timezone: est Availability: weekdays evening Character Idea: I would like to make Jasmine a real character. She is a spoiled noble female with a chip on her shoulder trying to get from under her father's thumb and strike it on her own. I want her to be a sorcerer so she can utilize magic passed down to her through her mother's bloodline. Being the only daughter of fifteen brothers their is a lot of baggage there and family traumas. While she has many stigma's [classism, specism] she is actually a loyal person. If she can see past her Father's upbringing.
I have never watched Critical Role I am ashamed to say.
Name and pronouns: Twylyte/Twy (They/Them) Age: 23 Experience: No D&D Experience beyond watching Critical Role. Have done a little Pathfinder 2e, played the Pathfinder Kingmaker game and have done WoW RP Campaigns before, so I know the basics of roleplay and TTRPG Combat styles (kinda). Timezone: UK, GMT Availability: Free evenings Weekdays (except Thursdays) and Weekends, closer to the 2-4pm EDT start time as that's 6-8pm start here. Character Idea: Got a few I am more than happy to use, but one I am rather attached to is my Tiefling Rogue, Meror "Mirror" Glintbane. They're a bit of a career criminal, sends all the money they earn from petty theft to their parents to try and keep them out of the slump into poverty. Happy life up to this point, just seeks the thrill of a proper adventure, and the friendships it can bring! Another I have is Yardak, a Draconblood Dragonborn Paladin who left Draconia many years ago due to issues surrounding his faith and a clash within his family and teachers that had him cast out of society. He's been working as a sort of Bounty Hunter since, seeking allies he can use in his quest for power he can grant to his deity, Tiamat. Fav CritRole Character, and why it’s Jester: Favourites of C2 are Jester, Mollymauk and Caleb so far! Very early in the campaign, so still learning about them all~! Favourites of C1 are Scanlan and Percy.
Name and pronouns: Grant he/him Age: 19 Experience: about 3 years of playing dnd, about half that as a DM. (Fear not, I still view myself as most novice of game masters/players, as anyone is compared to one Matthew Mercer, or any of the CR cast)
Timezone: EST (which I think is the same as EDT?)
Availability: Sunday anytime after noon is the most reliable time I can play, as my work can be weird. I can probably make most any other day work if I have time to adjust my schedule before we begin.
Character Idea: I could fill this whole page but I’m gonna hold back; Aramis Kaleisi Carapell, a young Dragonborn wizard, old money from Draconia, his family cast out when the Ravenites revolutionized. Born in Port Demali and studying from an enchantment spell book his sister salvaged from the great old draconian libraries, he poured himself into magic while his father, ever the cunning businessman, made a name for himself and got a job within the esteemed auction house in an attempt to rebuild the family name. (His mother died of disease after moving to Port Demali. Kaleisi was very young, but the experience has taught him that all things will one day die, and to let go when the time demands). After departing home with his sister to rexxentrum and enrolling in the Soltrice Academy, his sister is chosen for the voltstrukker program while he is left unaware. One day she does not return from her mysterious outings, and he leaves the academy to find his lost sister, to the disdain of his father who believes he should stay and complete his studies for the sake of family honor. As far as a more emotional examination, he is a diligent student and an eager learner in a world full of opportunity. Ever an Optimist, he can be naive in his black and white view of the world, of good and evil. He loves the intricacies of magic, and the weave that connects all things together. As the youngest in his family he’s always looked up to his sister, a prodigy, and felt a certain amount of imposter syndrome despite the love and care she gave, as a substitute mother of sorts. Looking forward to meeting new people for him to learn from! (Jeez I said I was not gonna do a lot and that ended up a lot anyway) p.s. I love the idea of heavy RP and getting into voices!
Fav CritRole Character, and why it’s Jester : of course it’s Jester (cause OBVIOUSLY). She’s such a beacon of light in a world/game that can be so downtrodden and dark (not that I don’t love dark storytelling as well, it’s the best when in it’s deserved). she loves people, and manages to be innocent while still a deadly and effective member of a party.
I've got a lot more than information on my character, but I didn’t want this to be TOO long. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have and I will be happy to oblige!
also question for you if you don’t mind, how did you hear about/start dnd? Was it critical role? Or did someone/something prompt exploration of the topic?
D&D experience: 8 years. Past four as eternal DM. The past four years have taught me how important making sure each party member is engaged (and how important asking a DM, "How can I help you shape the kind of game that you enjoy? is).

Character concept: Ithil (moon in Sindarin - I am a nerd). Ithil has always had intense wander lust, even for a pallid elf. Shortly after his people emerged from the Pallid Grove, he wandered off from his family. Being a pale, unattended, 4 year old, however, drew attention as he wandered through the Menagerie Coast. He regularly found himself taken in (against his protests) by the various city children's homes. He did not like having to be in the same place nor the continuous rules - don't go here, don't touch that, put that down! Oddly, they regularly failed to keep an eye on him and he quickly wandered off in search of new shiny objects or fascinating things. He had no desire to keep or collect any of them, simply to see. As he approached 5-6 he was wandering through what he believed to be a forrest (he was wrong) and heard a cry. Sneaking toward the sound, he saw a child about his age, cornered by a massive, bulbous green creature that oozed and clawed its way toward its prey. That was certainly new! Suddenly a figure came crashing into the opening, sword blazing with crackling energy, eyes white like a lightening strike. 'Swoosh', 'swoosh' down the monster went. The figure - a scraggly, salt-and-pepper bearded, man held out his hand to the child and escorted it back to the child's home in the closest 'town' - Nicodranus. Ithil was captivated - magic, daring, and most importantly newness. Ithil snuck as well as he could and managed to follow the man and child back to town - city, really - watch him return the boy to his family, and was not caught until the figure was returning to the forest (jungle!). A quick turn by the figure and he was caught, snatched up by his arm to look the ragged man in the eyes. Ithil introduced himself and declared "I will be your assistant, raggedy man." The man laughed heartily and for an extended period of time. Ithil liked the laugh. The raggedy man introduced himself as Davram and said "If that is so, follow me. It won't be easy and you will rarely have a place to call home." Over the years, Davram trained Ithil in the ways of the Claret Order - an order which he parted ways with when he retired - but whose tenants of protecting the weak and self-sacrifice he never left behind. Davram was by nature a serious man, though he seemed to enjoy Ithil's contrapuntal personality. The travel, the magic, the continual newness is what kept Ithil present. The 'Old man', the name that eventually replaced "Raggedy," was only in his mid-forties when they met. However, twenty years of working together, Davram truly retired from his largely itinerant, do-gooder role, leaving Ithil chomping at the bit to find his own way in even broader circles. He loves Davram and considers him his true family, but the world calls and the vulnerable need the work of a blood hunter. (A blending of the seriousness of the Claret Order with the lighthearted, curious, and light-hearted elf could be fun. The divided-mind can prove ripe for some uniting).
Character's motivation for adventuring: The world, new experiences, new people call endlessly to Ithil. How could he do anything but adventure?
Character's goal by the end of the campaign: Part of him, a part that is hard to make contact with needs roots - people he can root himself in, places do not work. He needs to find a family, people with whom he can share life (since space can seem confining).
I know the above is a bit much (suggesting a all or nothing commitment to it), but I am more than willing to flex to help make sure the other players can build their characters without worrying about what the party does not have - I love rogues, clerics, and wizards as well.
Strengths as a player: I love the game - love lore, love character development, love shared storytelling. I know the game well and I think I help others learn.
Weaknesses as a player: I will, without a doubt, be a bit rust as a PC.
Favorite character: I mean...the answer seems to be Jester (she is wonderful). I love Artagan though. The trickster trope in literature and their commitment to bringing low the powerful and arrogant always makes he smile.
Hey Chris, I know I’m not the one you’re waiting to hear from, but I saw you post when checking up on my own, and I just wanted to say your intricacy, developed storytelling, and engagement are amazing. I want to see, hear, or read you tell more of Ithil just from this one forum post. You’re an inspiration to an aspirational Dnd’er!
Name and pronouns: Booker (They) Age: 30 Experience: 20+ Years Timezone: Eastern Standard Availability: Weekday evening/afternoons/Sundays Character Idea:#1: Firbolg Drunken Master Monk. A former vagabond and smuggler who washed up on the beach after losing everything. Monks that live within the island volcano took him in and for many years he found himself enjoying this new life. He began crafting his own mead, cider, and "botanicals" in his freetime and sharing them amongst the people on the island and the other monks. Though indulging quickly led to his former self reemerging and after many infractions, he found himself set onto a boat to the mainland. Once there, he stole a horse and a map and thats the story so far.
#2: Dwarf Star Druid/Twilight Cleric. Honeysun's clan have long inhabited the hills and mountains outside of Uthodern, acting as natures caretakers and guides to travelers. She often travels with her large faithful hound. Having read in the stars of new times, deciding that now would be an opportunity to venture out into the larger world.
3#: Dragonborn Fighter Echo Knight. Vale is one of a trio, triplets born in Rosohna. A single consecuted soul split into three bodys, though the 3rd died soon after childbirth. Vale, despite failing in the pursuit of arcane mastery beside his brother, seems to have another gift. He would see his lost sibling throughout his life, and its theorized that through the dunimanic arts that their sibling can be reached by touching the "Echos" of their life in parallel timelines.
#4: Satyr Artificer: She taps into the fey spirits around her to enchant items and abilities, including her wood-carved homunculi and other creations. (More natural magic over industrialized artificer) Fav CritRole Character:
Caleb; He represents a lot of my own mental health struggles and his development caused alot of self reflection.
Mollymauk; Because you can be whatever the gods damned you want.
Availability: every day after 7pm besides Thursdays.
Character Idea: I have a death cleric and phantom rogue I've been toying around with. I'm more than happy to play any class though to fill certain party needs.
Fav CritRole Character, and why it’s Jester : Jester is phenomenal, however Beau is forever bae. Jes runs a very close 2nd.
Name and pronouns: Joshua and I go by he/him Age: I am 24 of age. Experience: I had a 3 year long 5e campaign and a 5 year long, 3.5 campaign. Timezone: EDT/EST Availability: I work full time. my availability is best Saturday and Sunday. Character Idea: I don't have much detail about the character because it is one I am still working at trying to develop, but I would love to play a Firbolg Barbarian (Path of the Ancestral Guardian.
What I do know about the character: Firbolgs are not well known for being a fighting people. Neither was Davrin Treewalker. Davrin use to live in a village of fellow firbolgs. He was second in line of the hierarchy of the village. One day, the village was in the middle of a battleground. One side tried to force the village into joining their side, but upon refusing, they began to kill any and all they could. Davrin led many of the village folk down a safer path. Upon returning to try and help more escape, he saw his wife and son standing up against a few horseback soldiers. The soldiers proceeded to cut down his wife and son. In that moment, any shred of peace was torn from Davrin. So much so, his vision only turned red. In the ensuing rage, Davrin ripped the glaive from the hands of the troop officers and proceeded to nearly cut him down. Killing the officer's men, as the officer escaped, He knew he left the man gravely wounded, but may see him again. His days are spent wondering the lands to do good in any way he can. Someday though, Davrin knows he wants to avenge the death of his family and friends. Weapon he will use is a Glaive. His ancestors that manifest as he rages will be his wife and son. Fav CritRole Character, and why it’s Jester : Jester is a fantastic character that is played fantastically. To see her growth was phenomenal. That said, my favorite character is Fjord. Without saying any spoilers, you see Fjord go from self focused to generally being a "Let's focus on you and get you to a point you're happy. We've done enough on my end." Fjord becomes a very forthcoming and well developed character for a player that goes from what is essentially a murder hobo, into the heavily viewed as, face of the group. He becomes more wise as with the help of others, and he shows his growth from everyone's help.
Character Idea: Devrim Nightroad Echo Knight fighter/ Hexblade Warlock
A half drow whose parents were spies for the Cerberus Assembly. who was left in the care of his Uncle at the age of 10. Under the care of his Uncle Trent. Dev studied hard becoming a prodigy with arcane knowledge. Going on to endure the maddening pain & experiments to become something more, joining the ranks of the Volstrucker. Becoming Trents right hand until an odd event from the past kept worming its way into Dev's mind causing him to be restless hearing a voice. Noticing he has been discharged by Uncle Trent himself rather than being branded a traitor & being executed. makes him uneasy, him studying magic so dangerous that it seems to be straining his mind stealing memories from him of things that happened of a pact that he doesn't recall.
Fav CritRole character is a three way tie between Fjord, Mollymauk & Caduceus Clay. I love all of their energy & personality that those characters presented . I have never really liked warlocks until Fjord.
Name and pronouns: Marvin aka Pelo (Pee-Lo) Age: 50 Experience: 0 years playing D&D. I have no idea what i'm doing, but i'm interested in learning, and I've read Forgotten Realms fantasy for ever. Timezone: EST Availability: Weekends, Preferably Sundays Character Idea: Gruff, Dwarf war cleric. A battled veteran, and weaponsmith that joined the clergy after having his family and a major part of his clan destroyed by a rampaging demon lord. He deals with his PSD by hunting demons and crafting weapons. His lifelong goal is to find the means to craft a legendary weapon that would bring honor to his diety Moradin, and the destruction of the demon lord that murdered his family. Fav CritRole Character, and why it’s Jester : While Jester is great, my favorite character is Scanlan. Sorry, but not sorry.

While she has many stigma's [classism, specism] she is actually a loyal person. If she can see past her Father's upbringing.
I have never watched Critical Role I am ashamed to say.

Experience: No D&D Experience beyond watching Critical Role. Have done a little Pathfinder 2e, played the Pathfinder Kingmaker game and have done WoW RP Campaigns before, so I know the basics of roleplay and TTRPG Combat styles (kinda).
Timezone: UK, GMT
Availability: Free evenings Weekdays (except Thursdays) and Weekends, closer to the 2-4pm EDT start time as that's 6-8pm start here.
Ahoy there!
Name and pronouns: Grant he/him
Age: 19
Experience: about 3 years of playing dnd, about half that as a DM.
Name: Chris (he/him)
D&D experience: 8 years.

Dude, that is kind. Thanks.

Character Idea:#1: Firbolg Drunken Master Monk.
(More natural magic over industrialized artificer)
Fav CritRole Character:
Caleb; He represents a lot of my own mental health struggles and his development caused alot of self reflection.
Mollymauk; Because you can be whatever the gods damned you want.

Name and pronouns: Joshua and I go by he/him
Age: I am 24 of age.
Experience: I had a 3 year long 5e campaign and a 5 year long, 3.5 campaign.
Timezone: EDT/EST
Availability: I work full time. my availability is best Saturday and Sunday.

Character Idea: Gruff, Dwarf war cleric.
