Hey, I'm a professional GM looking for players for a heavily Homebrewed Ghosts of Saltmarsh that will take place in the Sea of Fallen Star. If you want a pirate/sea adventure this is the campaign for you!! This will be a new campaign in the forgotten realms setting. I promise homebrew quests, items, and stories for your character. You can listen to a session live before deciding to join.
Saturday Evenings: Homebrew Ghosts of Saltmarsh: Sea of Fallen Stars (4 Hour Session) – 7pm EST - Level 1 – 4 Spaces System: 5e Platform: Roll20 <https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/298975/homebrew-ghosts-of-saltmarsh-sea-of-fallen-stars> Payment: PM me for price Method of Communication: Voice Chat via Discord My Experience Level: I am a Full time DM, Part time DM for 5 years before making my full time job. I currently run 9 pay to play sessions a week. Rules: Bullying, racism, homophobia and talk of politics are not permitted during the game session. Game style: My DMing style is best described as balanced. I encourage character interaction, development and interpersonal roleplay. I have ample experience running efficient, challenging and satisfying combat encounters as well (I don't pull punches or fudge rolls). I try my best to immerse my players into the world in any way I can; helping to develop character backstories that fit into the campaign, rehearsed NPC voices (some may be slightly unpolished!) and fitting background music accompaniment.
I’ve been playing 5e ~ 3 year now in several campaigns- all home brewed settings. The Saturday night schedule sounds perfect to me (my current Saturday campaign just fell through due to a mysterious case of disappearing DM). Most of my campaigns have been through roll20 with discord v/c, so I’m familiar with the roll20 system.
As a player I tend to enjoy playing unorthodox characters(at DM’s discretion- I.e. I once played a true polymorphed footstool cleric). That being said, I’m open to make a character work into any group dynamic. I enjoy a balance of RP and combat.
if I sound like someone you’d like to send monsters to murder, then I’d be happy to join in some shenanigans.
While I've been very invested in all things d&d for the last few years I still have yet to find a group to play with, the Saturday schedule would work great for me
