and as for rules:
For starting characters, you can use either standard array or point buy. They both will start everyone at the same potential power level. Free feat at lvl 1, and optional features such as customize your origin is allowed. Every 4th level you'll earn a feat in addition to the ASI. This doesn't allow you to skip the ASI and take 2 feats instead though.
Sources - Critical Role, Magic: the Gathering, Eberron content allowed
Optional Features enabled
Advancement will be milestone based (switched from XP based)
Standard encumbrance
Ignore coin weight is turned off - You need to actually carry your loot
taking a potion takes either your action or bonus action and to give a potion to a downed pc takes your action
currently were using flanking rules though the dm is thinking they may either change it a bit or remove it all together
