I am looking for a few moderately experienced players to join an existing party and story in progress. Recently a lot of cancelations have led some of my players to become discouraged, so I am looking for 2-3 new players who know the game well enough to jump in and who can show up on play days so that we can at least run the game without having to cancel last minute due to no shows or cancelations.
We meet Thursdays, 7:30 US central time and run on average 3 hours. That's GMT +6:00.
I am looking for players in our age group, we're all around 30-40, but in the past have had players 18 and up. We won't hold your age against you though, especially if your personality meshes well with the group, but please only 18+. We try not to take things too seriously, but by the gods, we need people who are going to show up.
DM me @SingleShot98#9816 on Discord.
About the game: We are running part 2 of a Homebrew campaign in which a group of players succeeded in saving a small island from certain doom. We are currently in the process of starting a guild while exploring parts of the island we may have missed in the first part of the campaign, and getting into all sorts of trouble along the way with a fresh-faced group of adventurers playing alongside legacy characters who kind of stay behind the scenes and control the action as part of an ever-expanding lore that is still being written! Come lend your aid to my ever expanding story. I am hoping to explore all genres with this story, while always being grounded in a high-fantasy origin point to keep things DnD oriented.
Bring a friend and let me know what you think! SingleShot98#9816 on Discord
1) how much direct interaction will these legacy characters have? Like are we talking "the party goes off and adventures while the legacy characters build the guild hall/secure finance/ build the information network" Or more like " you make your attack and deal 15-20 damage and then (legacy character) shows up and casts Sunburst dealing 40-50 points of radiant damage"
2) You have said that the setting is homebrew. How do you feel about the players bring in their own homebrew? Is that a hard NO, or more of a "why don't we go over it, and see if we can make it work"?
Gotten a lot of interest even after filling the roster for Thursday, I am thinking of running a second game. Anyone still interested here please let me know on Discord SingleShot98#9816
If you are looking to run a second game, say on Friday or Saturday evenings I'd be down to join and can commit to consistent attendance. I'm 45 and pretty easy to get along with, I believe in cooperation with both players and the DM in order to advance the story. I enjoy roleplay and can play just about any class in the game and always show up prepared to play usually committing several hours before hand to draft up a comprehensive background for my character. If you think I would be a good fit please let me know!
So far it looks like the second game is going to be Saturdays starting at 7pm Central time. I've already been contacted directly by three so I have room for maybe two more, depending on when I figure out the details on what kind of story I want to tell and with what characters. If you haven't already, DM me on Discord @SingleShot98#9816. When I figure out the important stuff I can get more information out on character design and house rules and homebrew for those interested. For the sake of argument consider this an open invite to those who have already responded above, and to anyone else who may stumble upon this thread I'm sorry, but it seems like everyone is playing dnd these days, and you should consider this game filled and this thread closed! Games fill up fast and there is only so much time to play. I wish I could DM for everyone who is interested.
