Okay, so, what if there were D&D, but nothing all that bad could happen because there is a literal pandemic and some of us can't handle it?
Enter Village Guardians, a gentle game set in a long-ago cottagecore town of magic, spilled milk, helpful fey, and little problems. You and your fellow players are all denizens of the town, and whether you choose to be tricksome house spirits, the village storyteller, the local hedgewitch, or the only child to whom the fairies feel comfortable revealing their presence, you are interwoven with your community and invested in the peaceful operation of your home. Small issues and tiny mysteries arise: a wheel of cheese stolen in the night, the morning frost spirits offended, the maypole needing ribbons. The tone is always gentle and the resolution is always cute.
Who we are: An ex-teacher and their creative wingperson with a few years' GM experience under their collective belts. We are both queer, genderqueer, neurodivergent, and in our early thirties; one of us is PoC. Our fandoms include Dimension 20, Discworld, The Witcher, The Enchanted Forest Chronicles, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, LOTR, Dragon Age, Abhorsen, and Song of the Sea, to get a sense of what we may inadvertently draw from.
Who you are: We are looking to build an international group, time zone allowing, comprised of PoC and/or neurodivergent and/or LGBTQIA++++ folx 30 years of age or older, so that we overlap in one or more ways with our players and can create a safe space that honors all of our vulnerable identities. Roleplaying and character bonds are extremely, extremely important to our playstyle! Please expect to build characters collaboratively, establish bonds with each other and NPCs in the community, and to play to make one other look good.
When we are: EST, but flexible on dates and times as long as we're both in bed by 9 PM EST. No fixed start date; we are actively vetting players now on DDB and other places, and will wait as long as needed to assemble a strong party with good energy. When we play, we'll do it on Zoom, Skype, or another online platform.
Oh my goosshhh, okay I think I’ve fallen in love. I’m looking for a campaign and it sounds like this would be perfect for me! Maybe I’m just excited, ha, but hey- that’s good, right? I haven’t played in quite some years but am interested in committing to a campaign and brushing the dust off!

Hey and hi! Glad you're excited--so are we! We're still vetting players and would love to chat more. DM me and I'll send my Disord ID. :)

Hi! I think this is such a cute concept. Are you still looking for players? I’m not 30+, Im 23, but the concept and flexibility would be great for me.
