Pilot Session Recruitment

I am currently searching for a group of players to join a session that is planned for this coming Sunday - 22nd of August. This session is tentatively a lone session that is meant to end on the same day. However, this pilot session could be expanded into a campaign, should the players feel interested in continuing the story; the pilot is designed to be a test for the players to measure enjoyment of the story and gameplay mechanics.

Before I list the details of the session, I would like to provide the reader with a brief disclaimer. This session, and eventual campaign, contains elements and themes that may seem disturbing to certain individuals, considering the dark nature of the events within the timeline. If one feels unable to handle such content, then the session, or the campaign, may seem unpleasant. 

Moreover, this session or campaign is not designed to provide an escape from reality; it is meant to immerse the player within reality. 

Furthermore, the lore of D&D is not present within the session or campaign, nor are the mechanics used. The gameplay mechanics of the 5th Edition will be adhered to for the pilot session, albeit loosely. Should the players choose to continue and start a campaign, an original tabletop role playing system will be utilized. 

Lastly, there is a certain vision for the campaign that may not appeal to interested players. Should that be case, one is free to leave, to avoid any tension. Additionally, I am human, before I am a host, and thus, I do not refer to myself as a Dungeon “Master” or DM; I am but a host.

1) Session Medium: Discord (Roll20 and Tabletop Simulator could be used for the campaign, if chosen)

2) Chatting Method: Video chat (MANDATORY)

3) Communication Medium: Discord (Dndbeyond notifications do not notify me promptly)

4) Campaign Themes: Fantasy, Mystery, Science Fiction, Suspense, Horror, Violence

5) Session Day: Sunday (Time will be discussed with interested players - tentatively the session will be held at 5pm EST)

6) Host Experience: Beginner

7) Player Recruitment and Selection Method: Interviews via Discord (Interviews will be scheduled with interested players - tentatively, the interviews will be held on Saturday)

8) Lore: Original Lore

9) Gameplay Mechanics: Modified 5th Edition (If the players wish to continue with a campaign, an original system - named Novus Mundus - will be utilized)
