Two new adventurers seeking first PG for weekend quests [LFG] [5e] [2 players] [New] [Online] [Weekend] [PST]

Game: D&D 5e
Group preferred: Online
Experience: New
Timezone: PST (we are in Arizona so this changes to ~MST when we fall back)
Availability: Weekend - Late afternoon or evenings
Preferred role: Player(s)
Game style: We're ready for the full gamut, RP, Mystery, deep storylines, you name it. We prefer a lengthy campaign, and are not looking for one-shots or 3off

• Background & Hopes/Requests:
  • Joined a D&D Discord Community, and learned a lot of the basics - it was great - but just not my style, and I still haven't played a single game yet.
  • Sister in-law was going to start my spouse and I on a level 3 campaign but the likelihood of that happening this year is slim.
  • I am itching to play, I've researched a lot while not spoiling myself or researching creatures or storylines - stuck to character building and getting a solid 'first sketch' of a character. My spouse has a rough idea of what they want, but not convinced of any race/class yet.
  • Age: In our 30s (if it's important to decision).
• Group expectations or hopes:
  • We would like to join a group that has an experienced DM, and one that cares about great story, each character's growth and role in that story, and roleplay (and of course, battles). 
  • We will not take it personally when (or if…) characters die, okay with rerolling and working with the DM to figure out an angle into the story for the new character.
  • Non-starter/Caveat: DM should allow players to (at least) use the basic ability score spread from the PHB for their characters (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8). If not, thank you for reading but these are not the players you are looking for.
