Running a west march that takes place in a tropical archipelago.
If you are unfamiliar with what a west march is:
1) There was no regular time: every session was scheduled by the GM who hosts it.
2) There was no regular party: each game had different players drawn from a pool of around 10-14 people.
We have about 5 gms, and 9 players.
We are looking for some more players and 1 or 2 more GMs to join out gaggle of.....dice rolling and story telling.
Story: A wealthy drow is funding the Colonization of this tropical archipelago.
The islands "Orbit" a central island that functions as a hub.
Setting: The world has its own calendar, celestial bodies and seasons. Weather is warm and there is lots of Water, Jungle, and Sand.
Gameplay: We use a modified system of magic; meaning that Spell components are a must and all are consumed upon use.
Character Creation: We encourage players to be as creative as plausible, and to check out all their options before making a character. A GM will sit down with people making a new character and go through it with them. (This is a security policy to ensure any mistakes on the sheet are avoided and no accusations of cheating occur.)
All players are given two character sheets and may choose if they want to bring Character "A" or Character "B" into sessions.
Stats are rolled 4d6dl1 in two sets. Then the player may choose which set gets assigned to which character.
Homebrew: Homebrew sources are all if reviewed by me or admin. We also have a list of pre-approved Homebrew. List will be provided upon request.
