About Me: I am PerpetualSilence (you can call me Perp if you'd like), and yes I know that IS edgy but it's a moniker I've had for many years and can no longer escape. I'm not sure if there's a format to these things or whatever as this is my first time using this site for something beyond storing characters. I guess I'll get right into it.
My (somewhat limited) experience: Currently, I'm at a weird place between 'god help me' and 'I know what I'm doing'. I have been playing mostly with my friends since I was about twelve years old with large holes of time in between. Most of my experience comes from the last four years (I am now twenty if that matters to you). I've done a couple 5e games and a lot of homebrew one-shots or silly campaigns; now, I'm looking for something a bit more serious and streamlined. I'm more familiar with Pathfinder and Call of Cthulu, but I'm interested primarily in seeing what 5e has to offer after I had the pleasure of experiencing the system. I'm down for anything really-- except PvP-centric games as I have some bad experiences in that regard; I do not mind character/story-driven PvP, but min-maxing a character to murder everyone else just doesn't seem fun to me. Pre-made Adventure Modules are something I have no experience in as many DMs (mostly my friends) I've played with have done a homebrew setting, but I'm sure I could get used to them if they're at all different!
What I like in games and am I a good fit for your party?: As for what I look for in games, I like a heavy role-play environment that goes a bit lighter on combat. However, I do enjoy smashing my way through a cave of goblins or chiseling down a boss until we finally manage to bring in the win, so that's not a deal breaker for me by any means. I am a big fan of romance and how it can affect character development, but not in terms of being sexually explicit as that's just awkward for everyone involved. I also have a set of real dice I like to use in games, but if you would like me to use a discord bot or Roll20 so you may see until we build a better trust that is understandable as well. That's... all I have to say really. Oh! I forgot to say I'm looking for something primarily on the weekdays as I do college online during the week and work on weekends.
PerpetualSilence#2961 is my discord if anyone prefers to contact people there. Otherwise, I look forward to any replies I get!
(I hope I didn't come off as the neckbeard going, "I'm searching for my happily ever-after group" but this is my first time posting on any forums anywhere, so please take it easy if I am not familiar with the types of things expected of me. Also, had to repost since I think I used the wrong tags last time. Sorry.)
Hello potential adventuring friends or DMs,
About Me:
