I am brand new to D&D. I've been reading up on the rules (i have the handbook) & watching multiple newbie guides on youtube. Im a quick learner & have played similar styled RPG games. I have discord Harry Fish#7610, decent microphone, headset & webcam. I will defo be asking questions as we play so if you're up for the challenge im eager to learn!
I have been using the beyond character creator to help flesh out a dwarf character idea i want to try. The name of which is Thenrac he is a mountain dwarf barbarian. focus on strength & constitution but also charasmatic. His back story is: Once a legendary soldier, he is now a wondering sword for hire. The mountain kingdom he once called home & sworn to protect was destroyed by what the surivors called "the awoken".
being one of the few surivors he faces guilt and the feeling he betrayed his fellow dwarfs. He can't let go of his past and is haunted by that fateful night. This powers his actions to protect & slay his foes but can also lead him into an unstoppable rage.
Many fear or adore him in his new life; but the few that know his past worry he is leading a path to self destruction.
So i've gone with haunted one because of his past and he essentialy trys to do right and fights for the ones that cant defend themselves but his past eats away at him throwing him into rage. This is why i went barabarian as it fits the theme. As i am new to all this i am up for suggestions/help and willing to make adjustments.
