Game style: Grim & Dark, as per game nature; after 2-4 sessions campaign is guided by PC choices and actions.
I have been gaming since 1979, and want to run a weekly Zweihander campaign (not D&D) using Roll20 and Discord. I need mature and reliable players who will work together as a group. Experience is not required, but the ability to stay in touch is a must (check Discord).
The game will be supported by a Obsidian web site for setting data, adventure log, and optional rules used.
Since Zweihander does not have a dedicated setting, the campaign will take place in a heavily modified Harn setting; go HERE for details. Maps will be provided. Artwork to illustrate the setting is posted on the Discord server.
All books, maps, and material will be provided. The campaign will make use of props, some of which will be MS Word documents, so it will be useful if players have that program handy, but if not, we can work around it.
The Campaign
This will be a grim and dark setting, in keeping with the Zweihander theme. Player are encouraged to 'play forward', in that instead of the usual RPG tropes of PCs seeking to recover their father's sword or avenge their murdered family, that they develop their PC off choices made and events experienced as the game progresses. However, PC development is ultimately up to the player.
The island of Harn in this setting is best described as enclaves of Free Folk (Elves, Dwarves, Men, and Halflings) surrounded by hostile non-Humans and plagued by internal conspiracy and intrigue. After the first scenario or two (3-4 sessions), the campaign will be driven by the choices the players have made.
The campaign will start no later than September 20th, 2021, with the exact date depending on the availability of players and what day of the week they choose for the game.

This game is probably full, but I'd be happy to join in if there's open space! I am not quite a "new" player, I've done a few other campaigns before, and I mostly play tieflings, Genasi, or Aarakocra. I am a very RP-centered player and I love a good story. I am available pretty much every day past 6 pm CDT, except Wednesday. I love the dark and the grim side of stories so this sounds perfect. I am rather new to Roll20 and stuff like that, I'm used to doing games in person, but I've learned quite a bit.

Hello I just heard of this game for the first time from this post.
I have about a year experience as a DM in 5E, and am able to commit to a weekend schedule for sure. As I have little experience with this game I did a little research using the resources you provided as well as some YouTube videos. Seems like a very fun game I really liked the Character Creation Aspects. I still had a couple questions, but if you still have space I would love to join.

Hi, Call me nerf or nerfies I am a 38 year old man, been playing for 27 years off and on and i am starving for some good D&D. I played 2E and 5E never played a campaign in 1,3,3.5 or 4 just 1shots or short runs. I finished a campaign where my party of 5 all survived to level 1-14 then had a party wipe in a revamped Tombs of horror because the DM wanted out of his obligation and the party was slowly dying. I played a wizard in my last campaign so I am capable of playing a magic user if needed. I am willing to play a cleric or wizard but would prefer something new but i understand if you want a more balance group or need it for world building and would request something specific. I am looking for a mature group that focuses on more than combat. I am guessing you come from the time where a group would spend weeks in game or multiple sessions in the same dungeon, as nostalgic as I am for those days I like having more group dynamics, world discover, politics, than dungeon crawls. I do love all aspects and freedom of the game. I would love to learn from you as I am a amateur writer and hope to DM one day.
