Hey I am Billy and I am looking for two players to join in our group. We are aiming to play Curse of Strahd on Thursdays around 9pm GMT+2. We have players from several countries across two continents and we range in age from 21-35. We are open to anyone joining as long as they are nice, friendly/outgoing, in the same age range, and are looking to enjoy themselves while playing with an honest group. We do not care about anyone's ethnicity, political leanings, sexual orientation, or anything else you can think of; as long as you aren't a jerk, we'll get along. Right now the party is looking like it will be comprised of a ranger, rogue, and either a fighter or sorcerer; that said, several of us are open to playing different characters so nothing is set in stone. This game will be using astral tabletop and discord (both are free to use) and will hopefully start on the 30th of September.
Also, please note that we are aiming to treat this group as a group of friend playing together (one that can hopefully play additional modules in the future). So, for any cost that do come up, we will be splitting them between everyone. It is not a pay per play set up, but we will need a small, one time, $5 or less payment (depending on group size) to paly for map-packs and such. Obviously, first session will be free, but after that is when we pull our money together. If you are ok with that please feel free to comment and answer the questions below (also, please only comment if you know that you'll be able to play through the entire campaign; committed players only!). I will then reach out to a handful of you to set up a call to make sure that we mesh, you fit in with the group, and to give more details/answer questions. Once that is done, I'll let you know if you are in. Either-way, I look forward to seeing the responses.

DND experience (Have you played this module or any others? How many campaigns have you completed? Extra): I have played in many homebrews that sadly all ended early so I am looking forward to finishing a game. I am also a current DM for my own game every other Friday night
Are you ok with making the one-time payment or is it to rich for your blood?: I can do that so long as it doesn't get too expensive
What character do you want to play?: I can play almost anything, I have a few character ideas I would love to try out.
Please share a little about yourself (not asking your social or anything like that, just a summary to get to know you).: I am a Massage Therapist in Washington State (PST). My brother got me hooked on playing DND and I have loved it ever since especially with the pandemic currently happening. I tend to be either gung-ho and dive into everything or hold back and see what happens. I'm a bit of a social drifter as it were.
DND experience (Have you played this module or any others? How many campaigns have you completed? I've played Lost Mines of Phandelver twice, a few one shots, a mini homebrew campaign. Currently in the second chapter of a long-term homebrew campaign and just started a sandbox campaign.
Are you ok with making the one time payment or is it to rich for your blood? Yes no problem.
What character do you want to play? I prefer to play spellcasters and am happy to chose which based on the group / the classes others want to play.
Please share a little about yourself (not asking your social or anything like that, just a summary to get to know you);
I discovered my love for role playing this year; writing a backstory, developing their personality, designing them on heroforge, acting them out using different accents, and building relationships with other player characters. It's AWESOME.
I prefer immersive role playing and talking in/as character, taking actions in character and responding what happens vs. lengthy discussions about what to do/how to do it. A group that loves to plan things out of character to the nth degree, talk about game mechanics and meta game isn't the right group for me.
So far I've played / am playing * A classic do-good dwarven Cleric called Welcome Blessing. He's simple, straight talking and takes things too literally. Bristolian accent (UK-based south west accent). *An old crone of the forest Druid called Windy. She's unsociable, bossy and a bit crazy. Old creaky lady voice. * A young & naive tiefling Bard called Elio. He's lived a sheltered life and is desperate to make friends/be loved. Useless in a fight but loves to perform - I've written songs and performed them in game. East London accent, like Oliver Twist. * A prostitute tiefling Rogue/Wizard called Belzadded. Evil campaign. She's charming, sarcastic, and selfish. Will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Posh English accent, like Liz Hurley.
BW I am on holiday 30 Sept but free from 7 Oct.

Hi there!
Am I assuming correctly that this is going to be a voice-based game / gaming group, not text-based?
Thanks for any answer!
correct, it is a voice based one; sorry
