I'm only 90% sure I've titled this right but let's just ignore any blundering as nerves and get onto the gritty details of why I created this thread!
First off, hi! You can call me Zombie (it's what I've gone by on the internet for 10+ years). Gender and identifying yourself has become such a huge thing nowadays so you can use she/her/they/them for me (I really don't care either way). I'm 27 and I can already hear at least one person going "but wait isn't that a bit old?" No, I don't think so.
I've always wanted to play DnD. I love fantasy, I love roleplay, and I love getting to be an absolute Mad Lad through someone I've created. Writing is fun for me, creating chaotic characters is fun, and I'm unfortunately plagued with being a very... antisocial person IRL so I never tried very hard to get into DnD before discovering the site. That being said, I'm still painfully naive and new. I've read just about everything, I've given character creation a try because why not, and I think I'm ready to start small. I use Discord for just about everything but I don't do voice calls at all, which has unfortunately seemed to be a huge point for most people. It's not like I hate my voice or get dysphoria from it so much as I sound like a child and it leads to people treating me like a child.
There are also my roommates and our varying schedules. I'm awake when most of them are asleep and the noise a group chatting would make would likely mean someone would unleash the wrath of hell upon me for being loud.
So I'll reiterate for anyone who stuck around. Hi, I'm Zombie. I'm a 27-year-old female from the US and I wanna get into playing DnD.
