Game: D&D 5e - Lost Mine of Phandelver (lvl 1-5) Group type: Online - will use Discord and Roll20 Experience: New players Location/Timezone: EST Schedule: Wednesday evenings, 6pm-9pm Roles sought: 4-5 new players Game style: I plan to incorporate roleplay, combat, and a bit of exploration
I've been noticing plenty of posts with new players looking to get into the game. This inspired me to put together a campaign for strictly newer players - my intention being to let some of you players with little to no experience with the game enjoy a complete campaign where everyone is learning the game together and helping each other. My hope is everyone gets to learn in a low pressure environment and maybe by the end of the campaign you have a dnd group you can run your own campaigns/adventures with.
I'll be running a somewhat streamlined version of the module for Lost Mine of Phandelver - an introductory adventure which offers roleplay, combat, and exploration potential. Characters will progress from lvl 1 to lvl 5. I have most sourcebooks on dndbeyond to assist with character creation, I plan to use Discord for voice chat, and will use Roll20 as the VT. The sessions will be weekly - every Wednesday evening 6pm-9pm eastern. I'm thinking the campaign should run roughly 6-8 sessions
A bit about myself - I'm 35 and been playing on and off for about 3 years, almost entirely as a DM. I am by no means an expert, but am confident in my grasp of the mechanics and comfortable running the module
If you're a new player and this sounds like something you're interested in, send me a message on discord - bigtonygeorge#5959. I'm looking for 4-5 players, ideally 18+. Again no experience necessary
