Update, Oct23rd: Closed. I've sent messages to all who fit the schedule - and followed the instructions. ;)
Update, Oct 21st: I am still collecting responses from interested players. I have about 5 or 6 replies so far. This weekend I will try and match up a day/time for a group and get back to everyone.
I'm looking to host a game of DnD 5e for a small group of newbies. This will be my first attempt at running a game online. I feel like it'll be more fun to stumble through together as newbs rather than holding up a more experienced player. Two or three people who want to start playing D&D would be just about right. A group who already know each other would be even better.
I live in Oregon, USA but I need to play at night. Starting around 8pm to 11pm Pacific Time - which is 4am to 7am GMT. Any night of the week is fine. I'm somewhat flexible on the start time.
We'll be exploring the Dragon of Icespire Peaks. It's a great place to start with the straightforward quest system. If things go well maybe we would continue on to the follow-up modules like Storm Lord's Wrath.
My game style is pretty casual and humorous with light roleplay. I want to emphasize creativity, exploration, and combat rather than melodrama and interpersonal conflict. This session hosted by Chris Perkins and the crew from Robot Chicken is a good example of the kind of game I'd like to run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jAe42mv0h8&t
We'll be using D&D Beyond for character sheets and Owlbear Rodeo for the maps and tokens. We'll be using voice chat - probably Discord but I'd also like to try the built-in audio from Owlbear. I'm not opposed to broadcasting video, too.
Our first session would be a "session zero" to get our characters straightened out and maybe run a small introductory encounter to get used to the tools and the gameplay. Then we'll play weekly 2-3 hour sessions until the adventure is complete.
I'm 54 years old and I've played D&D sporadically since I was 12; mostly AD&D, 3e, and 5e. Since COVID hit I've run a few in-person sessions with a small party. I'm still brushing up on my DM skills, but I'm making progress.
If you're interesting in joining the adventure Direct Message me here with the best time/day for you, and a few details about what kind of game you're looking for.
Let's get this party started. Roll initiative!

Hi, I'm interested in playing, if it's not too late. Sun-Thurs works pretty good for me. I've also never played DnD in my life before, but I'd really like to learn.
Hello I'm Andrew! I'm a dm myself and always wanted to play. I've played around 2 years of constant online and real life groups that all have crumbled so I would love to join if there isn't, it's totally fine
