Hello and welcome to Winter! I am TeaLeaf#5963, the leader of Winter Clan's D&D community. We are a growing community of like-minded, friendly, and fun players and Dungeon Masters. Regardless of your experience level, you are welcome! We are willing and able to teach you everything we can about D&D, whether as a player or as a dungeon master.

Most of our currently running games are D&D 5e, but we are also open to other editions of D&D and even other systems, such as Pathfinder, Starfinder, or VtM. Most of our DMs and players are familiar with VTTs (usually Roll20) in Winter, but for those who are not, we can teach you and mould you into experts!

Our Identity:
Winter has been a home for gamers since the late 90s when our founders discovered the joys of online gaming. We are a community of gamers spanning across all current generation platforms and numerous games, from PC to Nintendo Switch, Modern Warfare to Dungeons and Dragons. With over 11,000 members, we have a place for everyone regardless of your gaming preference.

Whilst we encourage friendly competition, we are not a home for toxicity; we do not have ‘sponsors’, and avoid dealing with ‘eSports’. Each game has a unique approach to fulfilling that competitive itch, though we do not solicit our members with products or encourage an elitist attitude.

Winter offers our members a place to call home. We understand that personal life comes first; if you have to leave gaming, there will be no repercussions — Winter will always be here for you.

Our Rules:
Age: Winter is a mature community. Some discussions may not be suitable or appropriate for younger gamers. Members must be at least 16 years of age to participate in the Winter community.

Naming Convention: Names must contain alphanumeric characters only. Any abbreviations for personal advertising (e.g. TTV, YT) are not allowed.

Profile Pictures: User profile pictures are subject to the rules listed below. Additionally, do not set your profile picture to the Winter logo.

Constructive Discussion: Please keep public comments and discussions constructive. If you feel a conversation you're having may be inappropriate for public discussion, or if someone suggests that it is, please move it to your DMs.

SFW Policy: Many community members keep their Discord chats open at work or on family computers. Please keep general content SFW.

Hate Speech: Winter does not tolerate attacks on any person or group of people on the basis of gender, religion, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. This includes the casual use of derogatory terms.

Harrassment: Do not engage in or post content encouraging the harrassment of individuals or communities.

Politics, religion, sexuality, sexual content, drugs, and finances are topics that we do not want discussed in Winter.

Advertising: Do not use the Winter server to promote or sell your product or service. This includes unsolicited advertising of game streams. Posts attempting to advertise anything will be removed.

Soliciting: Do not use the Winter server to solicit products or content from other members. This includes assets for Twitch/YouTube, profile pictures, or game coaching. Posts attempting to solicit anything will be removed.

Poaching/Multiclanning: Winter does not allow people to be in multiple clans. Additionally, using the Winter discord server to invite members into other clans is strictly prohibited.
