Absolute newbie looking for group

Hi! My name is Jaytin, but you can call me Jay if that makes things easier. I'm looking for an online group to play D&D with I live on the east coast, so EST regarding scheduling and such, I'm down to play once a week. I'm pretty much a complete newbie when it comes to D&D having only played a couple of times and DM'd for nine months for a group with social difficulties/disabilities (we played very fast and loose in many aspects). I'd love to learn to Properly play Dungeons and dragons in a long or short-term game. I believe I'd prefer roleplay over combat however, combat when appropriate is completely fine with me. I'm not sure what kind of character I'd like to play, and I hope a group willing to take me would be flexible with party composition.
