Game content: A gritty pirate themed campaign set in Oerth(Greyhawk), homebrew content includes: A custom set of rules for Naval travel and combat, Gunpowder weaponry( cannons and muskets), mass combat.
This campaign uses a handful of adventures from Ghosts of Saltmarsh as a starting point for a globe-trotting swashbuckling trek as the party sets sail for Gold, Glory, and indiscriminate vengeance.
The Scarlet Brotherhood begins to pull the reins of various nations, most alarmingly, a complete overthrow of the council of Greyhawk firmly placing the center of the Flanaess in their hands. To the north The Demi-god cambion Iuz once more seeks to expand his empire further south. The nations of the Sheldomar Valley and the former Great kingdom holds grasp onto an uneasy neutrality with these encroaching empires of Evil, hoping they will fight each other and leave the rest of the world alone. They pray for peace, but are preparing for a second grand conflict on Oerik In these turbulent times the seas are chocked with naval convoys and aspiring merchants alike, prime pickings for marauding pirates and contract privateers to gain fortune on the high seas. With new technological advancements, namely gunpowder, the weapons and tactics of warfare have started to change. The seas are the first to adapt to this change, cannons and mortars line the decks of massive warships that rip each other to sheds and terrorize coastal settlements with thunderous booms and destructive firepower once only possible with grand siege engines. Will you seize this opportunity of adventure and wealth? What colour will you hoist? Are you a sword for a higher power, for the greater good? or are you beggars and blighters and ne'er do well cads? drink up me hearties yo ho!
