This west march campaign is set in the vastness of wildspace, heavily inspired by the Spelljammer setting from second edition. Players are inhabitants of a vast, interconnected web of crystal spheres (the D&D equivalent of a solar system) and are able to travel in and among these spheres through use of magical airships: spelljammers, which can carry adventurers through wildspace and the vast sea phlogiston between spheres. Worlds vary, with some being dense jungles filled with ancient ruins, some being hellscapes, and some being highly industrialized.
Though it might sound like science fiction, spelljammer is pretty firmly still fantasy with a nice, healthy splash of steampunk; think Treasure Planet aesthetics more than Star Trek.
The campaign is ongoing, and has elements of political intrigue, exploration and treasure hunting, dungeon delving, and ship combat. If that all sounds like your cup of tea, this might be the campaign for you!

Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online, using Roll20 and Discord. Experience: Any experience level is fine, though new people will need to be willing to learn to use Roll20. Schedule: This is an ongoing West March with no set schedule, with 1-2 sessions a week on average, days varying. The typical starting time is 7pm central, 8pm est, though there have been earlier start times. Roles sought: Seeking both players and dungeon masters (one can be both in a West March) who enjoy roleplaying, voicing characters, and generally just being involved in the campaign. Game style: It depends on the session. Some sessions lean heavily towards roleplaying, some are solely combat, though heavy roleplaying sessions are a bit more common. This may not be the right campaign for you if you find lengthy roleplaying boring. The starting level is 5th, current group ranges in level from 5-17. That's a pretty wide spread, so parties end up being pretty varied in power level. That's not a bug, it's a feature! The average level tends to be around level 9 or so, and new people who participate catch up quickly.
