Plot Hook:
Welcome to Albion adventurer, sit down and let me tell you a tale. A tale of a land once whole, divided by greed and corrupted by evil. You see, Albion didn't used to be this archipelago of islands you see here before you. I mean the rulers where never truly friendly with each other, and never really saw eye to eye on every subject, but for the most part they left each other alone. And so it was decided that after many years of tensions peace could finally be achieved if all the nations would come together and build a city, on a hill, in the very centre of all the lands. They named the city Maýa and a great party should be held there as the final brick in the city walls was set in place. Both to celebrate the massive undertaking of building the city, and also to celebrate the recent discovery of a powerful magical crystal that had been found while clearing the rocky central landscape to make room for the city. Legends told of this heart shaped crystal, that as long as it was whole there would never be wars in the lands, and the holder of this crystal could have their greatest wishes fulfilled. But peace was never meant for these lands, for as the party went underway, greedy thieves tried to steal the crystal from right under the noses of all the party goes, and in the chaos that ensued once the theft was discovered, the crystal was shattered. Each of the nations piled on the fragments, hungry for a piece of the legendary crystals power. And as each of the nations fled back home to their capitals so too did the lands split underneath their very feet, for if it was division they wanted, division they got. Each of the lands floated further and further away from each other as the years went on, until finally the map ended up looking like it does today…
