First time DM wants to try out the role. UTC+1 (Europe) 5e

Howdy!

I'm fairly new to DnD, but am an experienced storyteller. Some of my students (15-17 yrs old) have asked me to run a campaign, so I'm diving into the DM rabbit hole. Please help me try on the dungeon master hat, and come with both feedback and patience. 

Any brave players willing to try out a newbie DM? I have created a set of level 1 characters to pick from, and the beginnings of a campaign I'm calling "Heavy is the Head." If you're interested, I'll happily provide some more information about the campaign and the characters.

You're also totally welcome to create your own character for it, but you'll have to come up with a reason they've been arrested and taken to Coldwater Prison.

My goal is to set up a once every two week session, on Monday evenings, starting aroung 17.00, UTC+1 (I'm based in Denmark).

Hi! I would be interested in joining. I’m in Sweden, and have been the DM of a single cancelled campaign. I don’t have much experience, but would like to be a player. Only potential problem is I’m a student, so Mondays may sometimes be hard to find time in. Also, do you plan to use D&D beyond? 

Could you explain what coldwater prison is (more than it being a prison). When it comes to creating one’s own character, do I need to restrict myself to certain books, or is any sourcebook fine?

The overzealous Lord of Springdawn has been expanding her reach into all of the surrounding areas. People are being sent off to Coldwater for anything from petty theft to getting in the way of official plans to murder. You and your character don't really know anything more about it yet, other than that it's run by dwarves. 

All sourcebooks are fine, I've only got the basic ones myself. If you've got homebrew stuff I'd like to look at it before including it. I can be a little flexible on time, so that's definitely not a dealbreaker. I'm planning to use DnDbeyond for everything I can figure out how to use it for, Google Drive for sharing anything else, and Discord for voice chat.

i'm new to D&D so i hope you're not only looking for experienced players. I will just take a character you've made to keep it easy. I'm from belgium so it's more or less the same timezone. There might be some times i won't be able to join since i'll be at work, my shifts vary quite often but i'll do my best to be there when i can.

Would love to See the other side of the DM screen for once im DMing for 1.5 years now and never saw the players side of Things, i am from germany so am perfectly fine with the time as well.

Hi, I'd also like to chip in here to participate. Have never played (only watched all seasons of crit roll this year >_< :D)

So I would very much like try and maybe one day even master.. I don't know if mondays will work for me long term though.

But if I could peek in for a couple of sessions that would be great.
