Hello! I'm Sasha (he/him). I've been DMing for about a year and just finished a homebrew game with some of my friends that was tons of fun! I thought I'd run it again with a new set of players starting in late January.
Campaign Info:
This is a completely homebrewed campaign meaning that all monsters, the story, and most of the maps are completely created by me. I'm a professional cartographer and I've made many of the maps in 3D to enhance the gameplay. Players will start at level 1 and progress slowly via milestone (roughly 1 level per 4 sessions) until roughly level 8. Player creation is restricted to the Players Handbook, Tasha's, and Xanathar's with some exceptions. This game is LGBTQIA+ friendly and I will work with you to make sure that the game's progression isn't triggering. The game will be run on Roll20 and video (required) and audio will be over discord. The campaign will be fairly roleplay heavy but expect some longer and difficult combats as well. All players must start as 17 year old characters.
The Setting:
Kanonia is a island nation roughly the size of New Zealand. A horrible war had ravaged the land but, after long, hard-fought conflict, Kanonia eventually pulled through leading to a new period of peace. Word gets out that the gods Chauntea and Selune and made a deal with Tempest to end the war in exchange for hosting a series of grand challenges for the mortals to compete in. This so called Challenge of Campions would but heroes to the test and showcase the many marvelous creatures the land holds and which many mortals had unappreciated in the throws of war. The winner of the Challenge of Champions, it is said, will win an unfathomably remarkable prize and it is the hero's task to complete it before the prize gets in the hands of someone more nefarious. Players start their journey in as students of a boarding school in the town of Painted Shores, a small fishing village on the western edge of Kanonia.
Logistics:
The campaign will be 7:30-10:30pm EST. I'm flexible what day of the week we want to play on (either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, of Thursday). We will make the final decision on at session zero which will be held on the third week of January (17-20). Sessions will be $2/person via ***** or Roll20 credit just to cover the cost of my subscription.
