Our group is a year deep into a Semi homebrew campaign and due to some circumstances are down a few players. Our campaign is an official setting/homebrew hybrid with a heavy focus on role play, story, and character motivations. We all love DND for the collaborative storytelling and acting aspects, so while we do have some combat it tends to be relatively infrequent and is full of character interactions/roleplay moments.
A few other notes on our campaign: we do have a more serious campaign that deals with some darker themes at times (but comedy and heartwarming scenes happen just as often depending on the RP), we are looking for people that can separate character actions from the actions of the player and not take things from in game personally as we tend to allow quite a bit of inter-character conflict and tend to make choices that follow what each character would do which isn't always the optimal choice for the party.
We play weekly on Saturday from 5pm to 12am EST on Discord (voice channel, video optional) and would prefer someone who is 18+ due to all the members of our group being in the 19-22 age range. We have no problems with new players and love to share our love of the game with others! All we ask is that you come in with an open mind, excited to play, and are willing to learn (more so the acting aspects rather than the rules, rules come as you get more experience so that's no problem).
We try to create a very welcoming atmosphere at our table and always hope new players also become friends during the journey of the campaign. Anyone who joins must be LGBTQ+ friendly (that includes nonbinary), we want everyone to feel safe and comfortable at our table and do not tolerate any form of discrimination/bullying/sexism/racism/etc. between players.
