Amid the bustle of Waterdeep, within the Castle Ward where barristers, nobles, and emissaries battle with word and contract, stands an inn not quite like any other. Before there was a Castle Ward or even what could be recognized as an ancestor of the City of Splendors, there was a dungeon, and in that dungeon begins the tale of the Yawning Portal.
Welcome all adventurers, I'm starting a Tales from the Yawning Portal campaign. We are starting with The Sunless Citadel, and the hope is to run through each of the adventures. So there may be instances where players drop, and new ones come into the game. This will be a bi-weekly campaign, the game is to start on January 26th at 7 PM EST. Played with Discord for voice, and Roll20 for actual gameplay.

How familiar are you with TTRPG? How long have you been playing? (Being a new player does not exclude you)
What are your favorite pillars in a DnD campaign? Combat? Storytelling? Role Play?
Hello! Your game sounds very interesting and I am interested in joining!
1. 30 y/o male (he/him) I go by Dave
2. I have been playing TTRPGs since 2018 and 5e since beginning of 2021.
3. World building and character building are some of my favorite things about D&D. Especially seeing how a character evolves based on certain stimuli.
4. I have a few characters in development. Cleric, Star Druid and Warlock among the few. I am happy to play whatever works best for the party and what will help people have the most fun.
My name is Mark and I would like to join your campaign.
1. 43 he/him
2. I've been playing TTRPGs for over 30 years. I've been into 5th ed for a little over a year.
3. I like a balance of both combat and storytelling.
4. I can find joy in any character. I recently played a Life domain Cleric and had a lot of fun, but I may try to simplify things this time around and go rogue or fighter.
I started playing DND 5e around 5 years ago and have played on and off since then. Mostly have DM experience.
I love storytelling and roleplaying the most because I love a chance to be in character and get really immersed in the game! However, I still have a lot of fun when it gets around to combat situations.
I am always happy to take a fill role but I have been especially interested in playing magic users lately! I enjoy working with healers but I am always happy for the chance to play new things as well.
How familiar are you with TTRPG? How long have you been playing?I have been DMing an irregular DND game for about a year now, and playing as a player in another irregular game for roughly the same amount of time.
What are your favorite pillars in a DnD campaign? Combat? Storytelling? Role Play? I love all three, but I do value roleplay and storytelling, though I will never turn up my nose to fun and unique combat (especially because I have a soft spot for martial classes)
What kind of character would you like to play? It depends, I’m very happy to fill roles as needed, but I tend to prefer classes/subclasses with at least some sort of spellcasting capability. I also have a particular soft spot for paladins.
How familiar are you with TTRPG? How long have you been playing. Intermediate, I've been playing for a year and a half through Roll20 and TaleSpire
What are your favorite pillars in a DnD campaign? Combat? Storytelling? Role Play? I think a healthy balance of each is important. I like to match the DMs pace, if they are more immersive, I am more fluent with role play and descriptions. I like to RP but I also like to describe certain abilities and rp in combat. I also love a good battle. I also like to bring some humor and fun to the game.
What kind of character would you like to play? I have a few characters ready, I like playing a rogue or a tank. So barbarian, paladins or rogue is what I would like. Looking forward to your reply 😊
How familiar are you with TTRPG? How long have you been playing? Moderately familiar, I have only play dnd no other ttrpg and for about a year. I dm for another in-person session so I am pretty familiar with the rules/character creation
What are your favorite pillars in a DnD campaign? Combat? Storytelling? Role Play? I definitely lean more toward the storytelling and role play parts, but obviously what is dnd without combat. I really enough getting immersed in the world and being put in difficult situations (probably the dm in me)
What kind of character would you like to play? I really enjoy all full spell casters but mostly wizard or bard. I also really enough playing as a monk.
2. Very familiar. I started playing Pathfinder 1e about 9 years ago, have played 5e, and have DMd PF 1e, DnD 5e and Starfinder.
3. I like a good balance of all 3. That being said fun character role play is traditionally the part I enjoy the most.
4. I have a lot of characters I've been itching to try out. I'm currently sitting on a Phantom rogue, Scribe wizard or a dirty fighting themed Battlemaster fighter.

2. I've played in one campaign and loved it so would love to get to play again.
3. I really love it all but I think storytelling and rp the most because I love to see how a character starts and what it is able to grow into.
4. I would love to play a monk, barbarian, or warlock, but I'm completely fine playing whatever would be best to round out the party in the end.
